  1. Reggie has alot to prove to NFL teams to become a QB on the next level. He only had a few great games in his college career marked with alot of mediocrity, especially for the amount of hype he had coming into college. However, he did play very well in one of the senior bowl type games at QB, which led alot of people to question Franchionne's offense. I think Reggie's throwing workout will totally judge his future, if he does well, you might see a team take a chance on him at the QB position. If he does poorly, you will see alot of teams trying to talk him into converting to WR so they can watch him catch the ball. I personally think he will do good enough in workouts to warrant teams giving him a shot at QB, especially with his speed and arm.
  2. No, that was a grading error, they had to re-grade Vince's entire group because the guy screwed up, Vince didn't score a 6.
  3. Don't forget JP Losman registered a stellar 14 before his 31 on his re-try, lets see what Vince does on his re-try. Jim Sorgi also got a 14, same as David Gerrard, Daunte Culpepper with a 15 his first try. Aaron Brooks a 17, Donovan McNabb with a 12 and then a 16, Steve McNair with a 15, Elvis Grbac a 16, Neil ODonnell a 13, Jeff Blake a 17, Vinny Testeverde an 18, Randall Cunningham a 15 etc etc.
  4. No doubt, but its not the end of the world for Vince. If Dan Marino can make it past his 14 that he scored, then Vince can overcome his 16.
  5. Manny Lawson, OLB/DE NC State clocked as high as 4.41 in the combine at 6'6 241 pounds, another absolute freak of nature. Combine that with his decent strength and 45 inch vertical and you have a wonderful OLB/DE prospect. Also, Mario Williams not quite the next Julius Peppers, but probably the closest thing since. 6'7 295 and ran as low as 4.69 in the 40.
  6. Not quite, here is a list of players that scored under a 18 in the past. Vince Wilfork Larry Fitzgerald Roy Williams Reggie Williams Kevin Jones Tatum Bell Julius Jones Vernon Carey Travelle Wharton Karlos Dansby Chris Gamble Ahmad Carroll Dunta Robinson Vontez Duff Sean Taylor Keneche Udeze Tommie Harris Tank Johnson Those are just some notable names from the last few years. Some of the numbers are just scary. Especially the amount of Miami players on the list, I didn't even add about 5 names of there guys, sad.
  7. I have to LOL when I see announcers or others mention Duke along with other Ivy league schools, especially when it comes to basketball. Duke's basketball team is actually right in the middle of the ACC SAT wise, around 1030 combined most years. Duke's average student body is around 1350-1400. Sean Dockery on the other hand made it into Duke with an SAT of around 900.
  8. He barely flicked the ball into the crowd, and the guy is putting on a show after. It was great though when the crowd was booing the guy as he left on a stretcher.
  9. It's pretty crazy some of the scores. Dan Marino scored a 14 I believe, Alex Smith had one of the highest in history, it can only show so much. But it is very questionable how some of these guys manage to make it gradewise at top universities like UT etc.
  10. I'm not going to believe it just yet, but it truly shouldn't suprise anyone. The University of Texas lets ANY athlete into the university if you are talented. Guys like PJ Tucker and next year's Kevin Durant didn't really have the grades for college, and UNC had to turn them down, but Texas welcomed both with open arms, sad really.
  11. He basically got angry and said that "see, that is why there's a Duke conspiracy", this was after Temple pulled to within 5-6 points and Redick pushes a guy to the floor, and then Temple got whistled for brushing against JJ 2 seconds later. They showed the replay again and Len said there was clearly a push-off, "you can't argue with pictures".
  12. I'm not the biggest Mardy Collins fan, he reminds me alot of Jamal Crawford minus the attitude. Yes he's 6'6, and plays PG, but I'm not sure if he can make the transition to the PG on the pro leve, especially staying in front of the quicker PG's. I see him as a 2/3 at the next level, and his shooting touch needs work. The upside is that he's a solid passer and a pretty smart player, just not sure where he's going to play.
  13. It was nice to see Elmore blatantly angry over the Duke bias at the end, especially with Mike Patrick in stunned silence beside him. It was like Len had insulted Patrick's God and it just took him totally by suprise. I thought it was pretty funny Redick getting the player of the game over Shelden Williams as well. As if ACC POY, NPOY, and all the spotlight for his amazing 13-14 point performance weren't enough.
  14. Vidal Hazelton ends up picking USC afterall. Very odd situation, PSU's fans giving him love on his visit actually really hurt their chances. His father was quoted as saying they really wanted a quiet visit to PSU to make their final choice, and word got out about his visit and made a big show of it.
  15. Interestingly, Maurice Drew measured in at only 5'6 1/2. I knew he was short, but thats crazy. He still packed on over 200 pounds on the frame, thats pretty impressive.
  16. Granted, Kansas fans and Illini fans don't get along. But KU and UNC fans aren't exactly best friends either. This guy, Bossi, is a class act and keep his biases aside. Which can't be said for alot of guru's out there, but Bossi is one. Bossi, Rob Harrington, and Dave Telep are just about the only 3 "gurus" that I completely trust. Anyways, its all heresay right now, so we will see what comes of it. I hope its not true, as Derick is a special player, and a good person, hopefully nobody ruins it.
  17. Ok, I have more info about the Rose situation from Eric Bossi, a Kansas/Scout.com basketball guru. He posted this on InsideCarolina.com about the situation, and he would know as well as anyone. "Here's what is happening. There is a rumor circulating that somebody close to Rose had a meeting with Bruce Weber and let him know that if Illinois wanted to sign Derrick that it would take X amount of dollars. Upon hearing this, Weber supposedly got up and left the room. There is no factual basis for this rumor but it didn't stop it from spreading like wildfire. Rose hasn't dropped Illinois and Weber and assistant Tracy Webster were both at his game yesterday. " He also stated that the rumor came from somebody that is "habitually" wrong. So take it all with a grain of salt about Rose for now.
  18. Yes, it can even go later then that. It just matters when the teams or the league office feel like letting the trade info out for whatever reasons.
  19. It's not by accident either. They actually study their cheer sheets, and pass them out before home games, to all 100 students at the games :-). You would be shocked how small that gym is. I shot some hoops there when the bleachers were pulled back, and my high school gym was still twice it's size. Still, the amount of noise and the actual gym shaking can be a huge distraction. It's also gotta be very scary seeing that amount of ugly people in one place.
  20. Anything with Rose not going to Illinois is news to me, I fully expect him to be at Illinois in the end, with things getting smoothed out.
  21. Good choice Ravens... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2340003
  22. I wouldn't even have traded Ariza for Francis, much less a great expiring contract like Pennies. Sometimes I get the feeling Isiah is playing one big joke on NBA fans, I just can't figure out why.
  23. We can have a nice NIT battle going here with IU fans, myself a TTU fan, SIU fans etc. Yipee.
  24. Alot of Steelers fans are comparing a possible Carpenter pick to Heath Miller last year. Heath was known to be the Steelers target for a while, and his injury concerns dropped him from a top 10 talent down to where the Steelers could pick him. Carpenter could be the same way with his ankle injury, and the fact there are about 5-6 LB's ranked higher that could be taken in the 1st round.
