  1. If anyone didn't know yet, Miami's swagger is back. It started with the 2nd half against UNC last week. UNC missed a wide open pass to go up 23-7 at halftime, then Miami completely dominates the 2nd half allowing only 18 total yards to UNC and continues on through VT. Moss is just nasty.
  2. Is it just for one game? If so, thats pretty funny. He was likely going to be out due to injury anyways. Nice to way "punish" someone when he was going to be out anyways. If he's gonna be punished for more than one game, kudos to the Eagles.
  3. Outside of the Duke game, you guys should be ok, especially if he can return for the Kentucky game. That leaves him 35 days or 5 weeks to heal, who knows how fast or slow of a healer he might be. Outside of that, you guys should need him for Charlotte 9 days later. I could see a 5-2 start and him returning for Charlotte, which would still leave you guys in good position. Then you would likely be 8-2 or 7-3 heading into Big Ten play. This is all assuming you lose to Kentucky, who is actually pretty vulnerable inside to Killingsworth etc if Morris doesn't return.
  4. Good call Rex, here is an NFL scouts take on Hackney from October. "Analysis: A physically talented passer with the arm strength to play in the NFL, Hackney has shown improvement and as a result will jump up draft boards. Needs to continue on his present pace then have a solid showing in the post season. Potential middle round pick who can play in the NFL. "
  5. Is there any talk that IU will try to run more this year with added depth? I know coach K saw what Roy did last year and will try to mimmick it this year.
  6. Frasor 7 points, 4 assists, and looked like he should be the starting PG on the year. Much more comfortable than the 2nd year Quentin Thomas. Also, Greasy, who will play the 5 for IU this year? Killingsworth with White at the 4? Or will they split time at the 4?
  7. Not sure how much time I will have, as I am working on quite a few websites now, but if you need help with draft stuff or with web stuff I might be able to help you out.
  8. UNC wins their first exhibition game against Fayeteville State 94-58. Hansbrough led the team with 26 points and 8 boards. Freshmen look good, but I'm still not concincing myself we can challenge for a tourney berth yet.
  9. Shaq is also listed as day to day and is travelling with the team, so before you slobber all over Reggie knob, wait until we see. But I have to admit, I laughed for a while when the 2-4 weeks prognosis came out.
  10. Favre: 15 TD's, 13 INT's, 1850 yards McNabb: 15 TD's, 7 INT's, 2034 yards Green Bay's defense is giving up almost 50 yards less a game. What am I missing here that would insinuate that Favre would do ANY better much less be undefeated?
  11. I think you have to find a nice balance between the two if you are going to stick with the elite in basketball. You have to have a nice base of 3-4 year players, and then go out and get you some elite talent that will only stay for 1-2 years, once the superstars are gone, the 3-4 year players will be seasoned enough that they can keep the program going at a high level.
  12. lmao, I never said it was Reggies fault. He got assigned the game, and he did what any player would have done. TNT shouldn't have him scheduled for the TNT games in the first place. The Pacers are on TNT only 5 more times this season, I think they can manage to schedule around that. If not, its no big deal, I don't have to deal with it again.
  13. There's a major difference when you are broadcaster for a team, there's really no comparison between Stone, Hawk, Farmer, etc to Reggie. They are either paid by the team they are broadcasting for or haven't played for the team in 10+ years. Reggie is a national broadcaster and Reggie is just coming off a very long stint with the Pacers and whether he means to or not, he's gonna root for his teammates and team that showed him the love for 20 years. I realize you love Reggie and the Pacers and this argument will go nowhere, so I'll stop.
  14. Brett Favre would have the Eagles no better off than Donovan McNabb has them. Donovan is one of the elite QB's in the game. He puts up the numbers, he gets Owens the ball all the time, its just that they have no running game like previously stated and no other options outside of TO. Donovan is not the problem. The defense is still the problem. If Brett Favre is a star DT that I don't know about, then maybe it changes.
  15. Reggie also received the gameball from Anthony Johnson. His "monther" comment really got on my nerves also. How the hell do you know how long a player is gonna be out just by looking? He's not psychic and sounded ignorant for stating "He's gonna be out for a month" right as Shaq was being walked off the floor. It was absurd, no reason to even make the comment. If you see a players knee get torn apart, sure you can judge that he will be out for a while. But seeing a guy come down on another guys foot and stating he will be out for a month? Thats just weird. I'm not saying Reggie is a bad commentator, I actually think he's very good and to go even further, one of the best I have heard. He's a refreshing new basketball educated voice. But he doesn't have any business doing Pacer's games this year working on a national telecast.
  16. Hey, its not just me that complained about Maddox... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...simmons/0510121
  17. Exactly, thats the ONLY way it will work. Walker has to be the third option and only take the 3's when he's wide open. He will get some open looks with Wade and Shaq out there, he just can't be a ballhog here also or the seasons over. When Posey returns it should really help, you will know who the only options on offense are on the floor. As for the announcing, they could have atleast put Tim Hardaway with the announcers also to openly cheer for the Heat to balance it out :-P.
  18. Good Lord, just the amount of javascript in the code is absurd.
  19. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2212384 Big Ben out atleast one game with surgery repairing some torn cartilage. He played through it to lead the game winning drive on MNF, but its good that he will finally get it taken care of. Charlie Batch will be the replacement thank God. I never thought I would type that sentence, but its true when Maddox was your 2nd string.
  20. Hell of a comeback, if Kareem Rush is the Bobcats go to guy, they are absolutely f***ed.
  21. I've got the Colts big. Peyton's film studying should help him beat a Rodney Harrison less secondary. This will be the time that Peyton gets his 1st 300 yard passing day of the year. The D will give up some yards, but will get some turnovers to help the cause. With that said, if the Colts lose, I never said any of this...
  22. Vince isn't quite as accurate as Daunte or McNabb coming out, but he has shown a strong arm with an accurate deep ball this year. He's still improving on the short/intermediate routes, but he doesn't have "big time" options to throw to right now. Billy Pitman is his most explosive option, and he's nothing special. On another note, has anyone else here watched Justin Holland the QB at Colorado State play yet? Dear Lord, he has a Brett Favre type gun and is finally accurate this year.
  23. I give Vince the edge because I truly believe its more the talent and the system at USC that makes Leinart look great. Matt has been throwing passes to Mike Williams, Keary Colbert, Steve Smith, Dominique Bird, Reggie Bush, Dwyane Jarret etc. Vince had Roy Williams very early on and thats about it. I truly believe John David Booty will have a similar type season having guys like Jarret, Patrick Turner, Whitney Lewis, and possibly Steve Smith to throw to.
  24. Texas-USC would be an epic battle. Two schools that have been absolutely dominating the recruiting scene. Most of their 2nd string players would start for 90% of the rest of the schools in the nation. USC can't shut down UT's great running game, and UT can't shut down USC's balanced attack. I would give USC the edge on the OL, and UT the edge on the DL. I couldn't pick a winner right now. Here's how I would grade them head to head. QB: UT RB: USC WR: USC OL: USC DL: UT LB: UT Secondary: Even
