Greg Maddux is a good example showing that pitchers don't have to throw 92+ mph to get outs. Ground outs and fly outs will get you the same thing as strikeouts: Outs.

San Francisco chokes so the Cubs remain in 1st. :headshake

Once again former White Sox, Ray Durham, hits a double to tie the game up. 4-4 SF in the bottom of the 4th. Scott Stewart replaces Jose Lima. Lima goes 3.2 IP allowing 4 earned runs.

San Francisco SP is out of the game and is replaced by Wayne Franklin. Brad Hennessey goes 3.2 IP making 72 pitches.

Damn... Alex Cora hits a two run homerun for the Dodgers scoring former White Sox, Robin Ventura. 4-2 in the top of the 4th.

The Mets need to win tomorrow's game. How many games do the Cubs have left? About 7 or 8? They need to choke fast because the Astros seem to be falling apart. It's either the Cubs, Giants or Los Angeles. I mention the Dodgers because they don't have such a big lead in their division.

The Dodgers start the 1st inning by scoring two runs off of SP, Hennessey. But in the bottom of the 1st, former White Sox, Ray Durham leads off with a home run. Then on the second, SF SP helps himself out with an RBI single to tie the game. If the Giants win than they'll be .5 games behind that WC lead. 2-2 in the bottom of the 3rd.
