Reports across Texas, Virginia, and Tennessee of votes being changed from Trump to Rubio. I thought the gop stood against voter fraud?

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 12:18 PM) CNN is still pro Hillary when I watch. Last week they had Sanders stuff on the bottom line and the way it was worded made him sound inept and not worthy of running. Wish I could remember some of them. They're part of Hillary's 3rd biggest backer last I checked, so that shouldn't come as a surprise

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 08:10 AM) You have to be joking. More genuine? We're not talking about flip-flopping one an issue or two, which can happen for either political or personal reasons. He's an opportunist who has clearly demonstrated he will say whatever gets him the most votes. In other words, what others do for money (and then to win), he does much more dramatically and for emotional response (and then to win). Also, far more so than others, he riles up anger to do it. Everything you claim to dislike about fundraising, Trump does and far more often, with the same end goal in mind (to win). How can you make Trump's version seem better? Yes more genuine. It's all relative. No one in politics is really genuine whatsoever. With Hillary, you can go down her list of donors and find deals she's brokered on behalf of those companies. Legal bribery. Well, not even legal, the Boeing stuff in particular is enough to throw anyone else in prison. Trump is doing it for his own power, yes. It's sad its taken a man with billions of dollars himself to even take a small step towards getting rid of corporate influence. Whether he can remains to be seen. He's destroying one party as we speak. The death of the GOP will be a great victory for politics going forward, no matter what happens from here on out. I hope Bernie can do the same to the Dems, but that's not looking good.

CNN referring to the recent controversy, which they started, as Trump having ties to the KKK. Lmao. This has to be the biggest attempted media takedown in history. As for the GOP plan, it's to replace Rubio with Romney. Try and get him enough delegates to get to a brokered convention. It won't work.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 07:55 AM) The thing that amazes me the most about the support for Trump is that people who like him seem to say some versions of "he tells it like it is" or "he's honest". I mean, how do these people live with that kind of cognitive dissonance? He is, far and away, the least honest candidate in either party in this cycle or any other cycle I can remember. For virtually every talking point and policy suggestion he has, he's been on the opposite side at some point in recent years. He pulls falsehoods out of his ass more often than the rest of both fields combined. How are people this stupid? And I shouldn't have to say this, but again, it's not a GOP thing. You don't see me saying anything like this about any of the other candidates in either party. It comes back to campaign money. Every word from another candidates mouth aside from Bernie is calculated to get more money from someone. Well not someone, rather something. I'd rather have a flip flopper than that. Flipping on your positions can often be more honest than not. Whether that applies to Trump remains to be seen. I still find him more genuine than the rest, aside from Bernie.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 07:25 AM) And what did he say when Jake tapper asked him about it? A bunch of feigned ignorance about white supremacists and who David duke even is and some pathetic excuse about his microphone . It's not grasping at straws when he's refused to clearly distance himself from white supremacists over and over, and specifically in this case backpedalled from his initial disavowal. It's not bulls***, it's yet another instance perfectly in line with his white nationalism populist campaign. It's been racist since day one, and it's had open, vocal support from white supremacists and neo nazis the whole time. He doesn't want to talk about David Duke at every single interview. Otherwise you're just giving Duke more publicity than he could ever possibly deserve, thanks to the media playing right into it. Thankfully the distrust in American media is extremely high, as it should be, and everyone has seen through the bulls*** except a few. He clearly disavowed the first time he was asked. That should be enough. Stop giving Duke airwaves. Move on.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 05:54 AM) Trump has black students thrown out of his campaign rally. http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presid...k-students-from And no, he hasn't really disavowed David duke of the large number of white supremacists and neo nazis supporting him. In fact he is more likely to retweet neonazi "facts" than he is to disavow them. " I disavow David Duke". His exact words on Friday when first questioned about it. It's really, really, really grasping at straws here to say otherwise. And again people wonder why he only gains more popular when the bulls*** like this is latched onto.

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 09:49 PM) #4. What do people feel about the WWE HOF? It feels like anyone and everyone is just getting in? Don't really care about the prestige of getting in. It's not like the mlb HoF. But the ceremony is AWESOME. Must watch if you're a wrestling fan. -

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) 1. Hopefully a big NO to Kevin Owens vs. Big Show. Borefest. 2. Yes, weak Taker appearance, why promote him for that. 3. Question regarding Dolph Ziggler. I read in wikipedia that this guy has been a world champion. WTF happened? The guy screams HBK#2 to me with his look / style. He seems like a good wrestler? Why does he job all the time and wtf happened to him? @3. HBK himself called out Dolph to stop trying so hard to be him. HBK is the most copied wrestler of all-time. It's really grating. He needs to find another gimmick if he ever wants to move up the card, but he wont. He never changes anything. His character sucks. -

Are we gonna see a Kevin Owens vs Big show match at mania? Ew -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 06:39 PM) I don't really think it would be that hard for him to make a bold statement. He did so back in 2009 and now he is just grasping at straws for whatever delusional reason he wants to share. The guy is a big fat liar. His first 10 responses when confronted with his lies are lie back or just call the other person a name. Its disgusting. Politics is disgusting and Trump is taking it to a whole nother level. Would anyone want there kids to emulate this sort of behavior? And this is supposed to be the leader of the free world? I like Ben Carson's common quote of bringing the government back to the people. The essence of what is wrong with this country (and by the way, there is still a hell of a lot right about it) is our current political system and how it works from a campaign funding perspective and the sheer bribery. Look at DC and how much money is made by the government (look at average home prices and you'd think you'd be in silicon valley not the government). He very clearly said I disavow David Duke on Friday, the very first time he was asked about it. It's absolutely ridiculous anyone, in particular the media, expects him to comment every single interview, especially when the guy didn't even endorse Trump to begin with. Speaking of money in politics, it's amazing all this desperation to attack. Shows where the money is, and it's not with trump. Thankfully the general populace isn't buying what the media is selling. He gets stronger with all of it.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 10:42 AM) I hate politics. Democrat. Republican. How about putting the best people in the best jobs regardless of what "party" they pander to. People who vote strictly republican or democratic regardless of who the candidates are are dopes. That's probably some people on here. I'll apologize now for offending everyone. Trunp has campaigned on this, oddly. Whether he'll do is another question. His vp won't be a dem but there's a chance his cabinet might be. Well see.
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) Chris Matthews thinks that Hillary should bring John Kasich as her VP. The Clintons have crossed party lines before. I actually like that idea. Basically insures her Ohio. That's one way to lower democratic voter turnout even more.

I like the media trying to create controversy for trump even when there shouldn't be. He won't disavow David Duke? David Duke didn't even endorse him and Trump very clearly disavowed him last Friday anyways.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 08:53 AM) As much as I've lost faith in Groce, I think it's pretty clear that he is coming back next year. Getting Williams was a huge step though, there's still a chance he turns this around. Will Groce ever reach the potential we saw after his first year? Chances are real slim, but this at least gets us 1 step closer to being good again whether Groce survives or not. Don't mean to direct this at you specifically because unforunately I agree he's probably coming back. It's just the wrong decision. He's done so well at burying this program that a point guard ranked around 50ish who is the legacy child of a program legend from the schools biggest pipeline in Peoria is somehow a huge accomplishment. Groce success is now becoming the product of his own failure. I don't mean to sound like we shouldn't be excited for the player specifically or anything. Just that we should win that recruiting battle 95% of the time.l say that no matter who the coach is. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 28, 2016 -> 08:10 PM) As someone that saw their favorite program suffer for six years cause they didn't fire Hewitt after he landed Favors....you should never let recruits impact your decision. Yep. Need to fire Groce now so next coach has a shot to get these kids. -
Clinton wins in a landslide in SC. 85% of the black vote. That's making for some..."interesting" takes from bernie backers tonight. His base really are their own worst enemy.
-
QUOTE (Boogua @ Feb 27, 2016 -> 06:26 PM) The guy who said that those players would likely be Illini also said that Williams commitment has little to do with the coaching staff, so I'm not sure that's right. Who are you referring too? "Don't see it happening until after the season - assuming Groce is given that vote of confidence." That's the last post from derek piper. What are you reading then?
-
As leaked by Groce himself. Seriously though what I'm getting out of the premie board is that they're all worried about Groce's job status, in particular Williams. Nothing can make that better at this point.
-
Random pairing I have to say.
-
That Silva vs Bisping fight was something else. Terrific fight Lol at silva, knocking him out and then jumping out of the cage to celebrate. Turns out Bisping was saved by the bell. Bisping goes on to win decision because Silva has no inTeresa in actually fighting over trying to get on highline reals.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 10:10 AM) I agree, but that doesn't mean he would take it. I would assume he would, but you never know. I think its moot. Groce will be back unless it just gets really embarrassing the rest of the way. In the last week Illinois has had a player arrested for attempting to stab someone with a knife and suffered one of the worst home court losses in 100+ year history. This will be hard to top the rest of the way to be honest. Edit: oh Minnesota at home sunday. Perhaps I spoke too soon. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 10:10 AM) Knowing what I know of the Drew family, I kind of doubt it. He could have had a $2 million a year job years ago. What we know of the Drew family is that his brother left Valpo to take over the biggest scandal in the history of American sports. And at one of the worst basketball schools even outside that scandal. But it's somehow inconceivable for Bryce to leave a for a top 25ish, B1G program. He's a low level coach. Major programs aren't exactly knocking on the doors of the Horizon League.
