  1. Complains about Vince mcmahon....then goes and works for Dana White. Lol
  2. I mentioned multiple times your wins far outweigh any "bad losses". The selection committee made that clear over and over again yet people still bringing it up.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 11:51 AM) What rule is that? "One true cbampion"
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 11:02 PM) TCU should be out of the conversation. It's between Baylor and OSU. The nice thing about this committee is that they do seem to judge on a week by week basis and not "because you win, you stay ahead" bs. Bing bing bing Playoff committee got it right.

  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 06:55 PM) There is no way Oklahoma should be ranked. Nebraska will take their spot. Not that really helps Ohio State directly. But that'll leave Ohio State with 2 top 25 wins and TCU with 1.
  7. So I'm sure you heard about the story last month in Rolling Stone last month that ended up making news headlines pretty much on every show. Well anyways, Rolling Stone came out and changed their tune today... Nice work guys. Washington Post has a lot, lot more damning details about Rolling Stone: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/educat...abdc_story.html
  8. Top post on the Oregon State Board was how Riley would be fired after this upcoming weekend. It was from ten days ago. I guess Nebraska saved them there.
  9. Yeah I don't get it. Riley is old too. Maybe Frost will be a head coach in waiting or else I'm not seeing why make this move
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:00 AM) Who would have thought that ND could beat MSU last night...? Then again, they have a huge home court advantage. Michigan State were 4 point dogs, so a lot of people. MSU is going to be a bubble team this year. They aren't good.
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 10:11 PM) Based on? I think they're closer to having 2 than they have 0. If Ohio State wins they should jump tcu. Rock laid it out before.
  12. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 08:26 PM) No Any new school would have to be worth something like 30 million a year. Expansion only happens if ESPN/FOX say it has to, or if they playoff makes it necessary. Since the Big 12 is the closest to having two teams in the playoffs, I think they aren't in any rush. There's also a good chance they miss out completely due to not having a championship game.
  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 03:00 PM) Utah not leaving the PAC 12 for the Big 12. BYU has stated a desire to be independent for football, though perhaps a Big 12 invite could change their minds. They don't want to be independent in football anymore. They just want to be in a power conference.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 09:52 PM) He's improved a lot. He was really f***ing awful as a freshman. Bad hands is a basketball player killer (see also Kwame Brown). It really is too bad Darius Paul f***ed up, sure would be nice to have him backing up Egwu this year. Egwus core numbers haven't improved since his sophomore year and his advanced metrics have gotten even worse. Everyone thought he'd be a breakout star after the last time we played Miami and he's literally gotten worse. As you mentioned his hands are so, so bad. Some of the worst I've ever seen, and you can't teach good hands. He is also one of the dumbest players I've seen. I cannot understand it, he seems like a smart kid otherwise but he has 0 basketball instinct. Last night he was routinely outsmarted by a guy who has only played the game for a few years. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 10:20 AM) The problem is everyone else on the floor stands around and watches him and it becomes a 1 on 4/5 game. And while Rice is very good, he makes some stupid decisions. Tate at least gets the offense going, even if he's not a major threat. Groce has to tell him to take 2-3 shots a game or they're going to be screwed. My thoughts from last night: 1) Cosby the shooter still hasn't shown up. I mean he clearly takes shots, too many, but he's not making any. If he doesn't this is not a tourney team. 2) Egwu still fouls too much. And most of them are dumb fouls. I knew that would be a problem. 3) Lack of frontcourt depth (also predicted) is clearly the biggest issue this team will have. Colbert is not big enough. Morgan is terrible on defense. They basically have to rely on Egwu and that's it. Thanks Darius Paul for being a moron. 4) Hill and Nunn are too passive. They're too good to be no-shows for 10-15 minute stretches. 5) Starks is the opposite. As noted on Twitter, he's a rec league player, not a major D1 player. I get that he's not a true PG so he's sort of learning on the job, but his shot selection is so awful. 1. Cosby I think will be fine. He looks the part. Just a terrible luck stretch right now. 2. Yep. 3. I still like Colbert as a backup going forward. Black looks good playing down low. Still, yeah, the big weak point of the team. 4. Hill played mostly well but he made some really dumb plays yesterday. Nunn needs to become more of a focal point. 5. Starks will be better than he showed last night. How could he not be? But yeah PG is our other big problem. The same position imbalances that were Weber's downfall are currently destroying Groce in year 3 as well.
  15. Hopefully the Big 12 realizes they need to expand to 12. BYU should obviously be the top candidate. Not really sure after that. Central Florida is way out of the footprint but otherwise makes sense, and West Virginia is in there anyways. UCONN is way way out of the footprint. Cincinnati is quality but it's a city school in Ohio. Doesn't exactly match what they're going for. Still probably the best option after BYU.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 09:25 AM) With McElwain all but locked in at Florida, that leaves some open jobs. Here are my predictions: Les Miles to Michigan. Rich Rodriguez to LSU. Jerry Kill to Nebraska. Narduzzi to Minnesota. I think Schiano will end up back in the game as well, just not sure where yet. McElwain is a good coach. But still odd he's the guy Florida locked in on and made their number 1 target. Maybe the most expensive poaching ever too.
  17. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 07:59 AM) Would love to see a total chaos weekend: Mizzou over Alabama Arizona over Oregon Georgia Tech over Florida State Wisconsin over Ohio State Kansas State over Baylor TCU would definitely be 1. Arizona would definitely be 2. I think Alabama would be a safe 3. Then I believe Georgia Tech would be your 4th team.
  18. Egwu is such a horrific basketball player. I have 0 idea how he hasn't improved 1 but in 4 years.
  19. Illini open up with a 7 0 run to cut it to 6. Sorry rock thought we'd be joining you in the misery line.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 08:48 PM) Brick city in orange and blue Fixed. Illinois getting blown out
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 07:18 PM) Very slim chance. They would be competing with Kansas St, who would be fresh off a Baylor win. GT has some bad losses this year which would make it hard for them to win a beauty contest with the current top 10. All I know is no matter what happens this weekend, GT better stay above Clemson. Georgia Tech would have wins over Georgia, Clemson and Florida State while Kansas State would have wins over Baylor, Oklahoma and nobody else. I'm going with GA Tech in that scenario. I truly believe who you lost to is the single least important thing that the teams will be judged on and there's been at least some indication the SC thinks that too, though it's hard to tell in year 1.
  22. So fathom when Florida State, Baylor, and Ohio State all lose this weekend, it has to be Georgia Tech in that 4th spot right?
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 02:59 PM) And Miles, according to a few articles today they are off the table. I have enjoyed reading all the saved tweets from a year and more ago about the future being bright under Hoke, who knew a career .500 coach would end up not being a good hire? Didn't Miles bang Gary Moehller's wife or something and is not welcome back to Michigan?
