  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 23, 2014 -> 08:54 PM) Looks like AJ is leaving the company. This is a top 5 worst SS ever! Main Event just terrible. It's still on... anyways that Big Show swerve legit shook me. Great main event so far.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 22, 2014 -> 03:08 PM) So there's a decent chance Gordon's record is only going to last one week. Perine from Oklahoma has 378 rushing yards and its only the 3rd quarter. And 5 tds. 3 minutes left in the 3rd
  3. They rushed out a fm radio station with 0 advertising. Not a shocker. Kaplan and Haugh seemed to have some traction so I wonder what happens there.
  4. Smash Bros U getting insanely good reviews.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 19, 2014 -> 07:06 AM) Any thoughts on Jonas Gray doing anything this week? I have Lynch, Denard, Gray, and Morris. Need 3
  6. Cliff's draft stock just fell about 10 spots after tonight.
  7. Yeah you better get an elite prospect for Alexei or you don't trade him.
  8. I like the signing. Bullpen arms figured to be the biggest premium this winter. Sounds like our scouting department played a huge role here and I'm okay with that.
  9. QUOTE (Boogua @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) Those guys combined for 12 minutes per game last year. They were freshman then and are sophomores now. I think, at the very least, Morgan has improved from last year. Egwu played less than 25 minutes 4 times last year @ penn st (a win), @unlv (a win), at home against valpo (a win), and against msu (a loss). I'm not worried about the foul trouble at all. I'm more worried about Egwu sucking. Because oh my god was he unimaginably awful a lot of the time last year.
  10. Oh boy oh oh boy. Come on Hahn, please for the love of god get this done somehow without crippling us.
  11. I think I'm gonna buy it today.
  12. Last winter beat the s*** out of me. Never minded winter until last year. God please give us a more mild winter
  13. #Padres have been consistently linked to Yasmany Tomas, and while they've scouted him several times, I'm told that's not a likely fit. nydn writer
  14. QUOTE (shysocks @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 02:48 PM) No, that seems to be going fine and I think everything with Destiny was smooth as well. It's really hard to launch a big game today; you have concerns like servers that just weren't a thing before. That doesn't excuse Halo and such by any means. But there were still some massive bugs in old games that got through QA, including Nintendo-developed games. Search "Link to the Past exploration glitch" or "Super Mario 64 backwards long jump tutorial" for an idea of what I mean. I don't think those are really comparable. Those seem more like glitches that you actively had to seek out. There are parts in newer games where you literally can't play a major portion of the game. I think a better comparison would be the schlock released on the NES which I believe directly lead to the "seal of quality" and pressure on 1st parties to actually handle quality control. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 03:02 PM) gotten? bug-filled major releases have been a staple forever, at least in the PC world. This is true but that's because there's no over seeing body of the pc games market. Microsoft and Sony are supposed to provide for some quality control to allow publishing on their system but they have obviously have completely abandoned that even in their own freaking 1st party games. It's sad.
  15. Man the video game industry has gotten really disgusting with the launches of completely broken like Assassin's Creed, Drive Club, and Halo in the past month. Two of those are even first party games. Nintendo should bring back their seal of quality. I don't think you'd ever find anything close to those examples on their consoles
  16. I don't agree with the Theo comparison at all. Hahn has been the one thrust into the spotlight since getting the gm title and probably for good reason, he is the one making the moves. I've never gotten the impression that KW is over bearing on Hahn whatsoever. Our direction completely changing shows that. Compare that to the Cubs where I don't think they know who Jed Hoyer is.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 11, 2014 -> 03:59 PM) There's no reason to not load it up with Survivor Series matches like the old days. But they'll find one. Yeah I really wish they did this. The one SS match they do have looks s***ty as hell because they decided to put every Big guy in existence in the match.
  18. 30 plus million on a guy who has never closed and only had 1 great season. Oh jeez. Please no. He's last on my list.
  19. QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 03:30 PM) Womp womp....As a guy who thinks he'll still be good for for a few more years I don't really find joy in the Tigers signing him. And even if he does fail the Tigers have an endless pit of money. This is not a good thing.
