  1. Is Brown for Viceido a thing? How do we sign up for that?
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 11, 2014 -> 01:42 PM) Putnam was having shoulder issues last year, and didn't pitch for the last couple weeks with no explanation. Considering he came out of nowhere, I really wouldn't count on him in 2015. First full year. He'll be fine, and we'll be counting on him.
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 11, 2014 -> 01:08 PM) I don't think either of them would bring back enough in a trade to warrant moving them. Keep Petricka as your swing man and Webb as the potential guy who can become a dynamic set up man. I don't really think we're in a position to be trading relief pitchers either way and other teams aren't going to be targeting ours to fix their pens so it's really a moot point. R CL Robertson R SU Petricka L SU Duke R MR Webb L MR Jennings Last two spots between Putnam, Guerra, Onelki Garcia, Surkhamp and whatever retreads we bring in. Putnam is closer to our number 1 setup guy then a last bullpen spot.
  4. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 11, 2014 -> 12:26 PM) I could see that too. I can see Webb on his way out with Danks to acquire a LFer. Webb has close to 0 value at this point
  5. I'd really rather not trade him for a reliever at this point.
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 11, 2014 -> 11:41 AM) The Carroll thing still puzzles me a little. Radio silence on his twitter since the roster move. Speaking of twitter, Jennings is quite the ahh....let's just say he's extremely religious. RE: Carroll I'm guess he has an open spot here, but Sox are letting him see if there's anything better out there. Protip: there won't be, but can't hurt to look.
  7. On second thought, I would have really liked Cody Martin since we're in some desperate need for some starting pitching depth.
  8. Don't think that's a surprise with the Rienzo trade.
  9. Phenomenal trade. That completes the bullpen
  10. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Dec 11, 2014 -> 10:27 AM) Tigers getting Alfredo Simon He's going to be bad in the AL.
  11. Sounds like Cueto to the Tigers...well maybe not. It's a reds starter.
  12. Boston also got a starting pitcher in another trade.
  13. Seems like a terrible deal for Detroit. Porcello should resign with them.
  14. Sounds like this trade could fall apart
  15. Cubs are down to 10-1 in Vegas, which is lol worthy.
  16. Do we have anyone available other than Jared Mitchell? Not that he'll get picked.
  17. McKirahan sounds like a good option for the 2nd lefty but his splits are apparently not typical for one. Dang. Ryan O'Rourke: .105/.159/.123 facing 74 lefties in AA last year. Yeah let's go with him. Patrick Shuster #1 pick last year is available again. I'd like him too.
  18. Don't you think it's unfair to include his pre-Sox, pre starting pitcher days? It was only 6 games, but he was the worst pitcher in the league then. He at least improved a little with us. But yeah, starting pitching depth is going to be the biggest weakness of this team.
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 10, 2014 -> 10:16 AM) I'd think if we signed Volquez, we'd see Danks moved for a Dodger outfielder (or another outfielder of sorts). I'd be absolutely okay with that. That'd make for an A+ offseason.
  20. Get him down to 2/15 and I'll take it.
  21. The top 25 has many losses this year. Many of those from the B1G. They beat the ACC but lost most of the key games.
  22. The B1G is 3-14 vs top 25 opponents.
  23. All 150 of our minor leaguers for the 2 of them. Do they still say no?
