QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 10:23 AM) Doubt that. He's still one of the more versatile/skilled big men in the game today. His incredible length should go a long way for him in a Thibs defensive system. He's still also a consolation prize, soft, 34, has declining skills and will likely be run into the ground by Thibs. I can see the fans turning on him very quickly.

2014 FIFA World Cup
QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 10:45 PM) It's not a requirement, but they heavily favor teams that at least made the quarters for any of the major awards. Yes, but that doesn't make it right. Ochoa and Howard have been two out of the top three definitely.

Gasol is a terrible signing on his own but yeah got to wait for the corresponding move of course. Money should be interesting. He apparently turned down 10 mil per with the Lakers if you believe CBS. I bet this dude is gonna so hated here.

Le Batard put it best when he said there was no good way to make his decision with seemingly the whole country invested but he did it in the best way he possibly could. I agree.

That theory has been out there for years. It's complete bs but it's fun to think about. That thread is great though. I love how they bumped the thread routinely up to throughout this season to make fun of the op...and then he turns out right. One of the best ownings you'll ever see there.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 04:36 PM) So, I take it Melo is going decide tomorrow (or over the weekend) so that he doesn't have to share the day with Lebron? He should wait 5 days if he really doesn't want to be overshadowed.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 03:06 PM) I really can't believe that. Theres been a lot of talk Lebron and his people ran EVERYTHING in Cleveland down to controlling when the team plane left. He got nowhere near that freedom in Miami of course.
