  1. We need to sign Jon Garland so he can get the same treatment.
  2. Did they really just do that as a tribute? The Cubs are such a sad organization.
  3. Hopefully Carrie blows out his arm here as a last appearance tribute to all his fans
  4. ROFLMAO at Samarjia. Look on his face was priceless. I wish it was a no doubter so Beckham could have watched from home plate for 15 minutes.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 18, 2012 -> 08:25 PM) did not see that on the Cubs broadcast They showed it a few times on the sox one
  6. Samaragfaja talking s***? This will not end well for that idiot.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ May 16, 2012 -> 01:44 AM) I think some people think that amnestying Boozer just means he is off the books. Amnestying Boozer will mean: Boozer can be bid on by teams with cap room. The highest bidder gets Booz. The Bulls pay the difference between the high bid and the contract we gave him (!!!) The amnesty could potentially blow up in our face with us paying him a ton to not even be playing for us That's actually better than what people thought then. I think everyone figured we were paying his full salary no matter what.
  8. So....Ventura's worst game of the year?
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 13, 2012 -> 04:49 PM) Welcome to the next phase of your life. Moving out and driving up 57 will be one of the worst feelings ever. I did this this morning and honestly teared up a few times.
  10. I graduated from Illinois over the weekend. I'm incredibly sad.
  11. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 3, 2012 -> 03:49 AM) So Thornton starts the 7th. Who pitches the 8th and 9th? Reed then Santiago? Or do you pich Matt 2 innings before entering Reed for the 9th? I would have much rather seen Thorton in for two innings than Ohman, sure. It's really not worth arguing over though because all of Reed, Ohman, and Thorton ended up screwing up.
  12. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 3, 2012 -> 03:43 AM) Anybody questioning Ohman being used AT ALL you're nuts. The Sox have TWO guys right now you can trust coming out of the pen. In a lefty-heavy line-up, this was a perfect night for Ohman to pitch. YES...Robin let him go a batter too long, but for those of you saying "why was Ohman pitching at all" you're wrong. Reed and Thornton were going to go the 8th and 9th. Who would you suggest using for the 7th? Santiago? Axelrod? Stewart? Jones? With the lefty heavy line-up it would have made more sense to use Thorton situationally. Ohman already pitched last night; it did not make sense for him to pitch so much tonight. Doesn't really matter though as Thorton was terrible.
