Agreed, I just don’t view anyone (besides Colas and Vera) as anywhere close to untouchable. I thought he would have gone for more than he did.

Should have done it, whatever it was.

In the last two weeks, we’ve lost Crochet for the year, Yoan for a month, Lynn for two months and Giolito for a while. Injuries suck but losing difference makers is a killer.

Giolito to me is the one player the Sox can least afford to lose given this particular roster.

And then long relief becomes even more of an issue, as most of those starters you mention (and Kopech) aren’t giving you a lot of innings.

Sheets or Vaughn would be destroyed on here if they did that.

Considering he’s still being evaluated, it’s likely not a cramp

Oblique

I don’t even care about today’s result. If Giolito is out 4-8 weeks, this team is totally fucked.

Ugh, news on Giolito doesn’t sound great

Yep, if he’s bad this year the team is likely in trouble.

Yep, outfield defense, ability to hit righties and middle relief are going to be big issues all year. I’m not close to his biggest fan, but the Crochet injury kills the balance of this pen.

At least we only had one injury today...jeez

I don’t get why he wasn’t in for defense in RF and Pollock to LF.

No not at all, Hendriks and Bummer sucked. But Hendriks has to be throwing more sliders to keep hitters honest. Báez should never be seeing fastballs in that spot. Oh well, long season ahead.

With the injuries, not even close to being as good as they think.

Grandal did Hendriks no favors

Great that they kept throwing fastballs to Báez. Pollock is awful in RF unfortunately

Game’s over, catch the fucking ball

Oh boy, hope that didn’t hit the wall

He saw all fastballs that at bat

God there’s some trash on this roster right now

Well yeah if they know what’s coming

way too many fastballs

I love those bottom two against LHP
