April 8, 20224 yr Gio misses any sort of significant time, the entire division is up for grabs. This pitching staff is going to get WORKED with Keuchel, Velasquez and Lopez getting starts.....
April 8, 20224 yr And then long relief becomes even more of an issue, as most of those starters you mention (and Kopech) aren’t giving you a lot of innings.
April 8, 20224 yr Giolito to me is the one player the Sox can least afford to lose given this particular roster.
April 8, 20224 yr The news here won't be good. All the signs and verbiage points to that. This team seems to have a curse it can't shake with injuries.

At least it’s not arm or shoulder. Worst case we’re prob dealing with an oblique strain like Yoan and just miss a couple weeks. Still far far far from ideal.
April 8, 20224 yr Injuries, injuries, injuries ... modern baseball. Huge contracts should be a thing of the past. Anybody can and will go down at any time. Sorry for the abject negativity, but I'm frustrated.

April 8, 20224 yr Ab Strain is a month long injury to heal. We are looking at no 1 or 2 starter until late May. last year was fun.

April 8, 20224 yr In the last two weeks, we’ve lost Crochet for the year, Yoan for a month, Lynn for two months and Giolito for a while. Injuries suck but losing difference makers is a killer.

April 8, 20224 yr Get Montas immediately. Montgomery, Kath, whatever it takes. This division isn’t going to lay down and die, Sox need to stay on top of this.

Maybe next offseason the Sox do a thorough evaluation of the injuries and decide whether it's a.) just bad luck. b.) unavoidable. c.) avoidable. d.) the fault of our training staff and team doctors or e) just bad luck part two. I think Sox should at least examine WTF regarding injuries. Do a thorough analysis in the day of analytics baby! Edited April 8, 20224 yr by greg775
April 8, 20224 yr It’s going to be a tough month but saying this season is over is a bit of a overreaction.

It’s beyond Spring training issues. Whatever it is, the White Sox left the pitching as well as second base in the worst possible scenarios. And right field it seemed they had to be quickly thawed out of catatonic carbon freeze
April 8, 20224 yr Yeah, some starting pitching depth would be nice right about now, as predicted by approximately everyone
