Yep, outside of looking to see how Bonemer did, I don’t think I’ve ever been less interested in how the minor leaguers are doing. That’s fine though, futuresox still does a great job of covering it all.

Antonacci now is at -11.2 fWAR defensively (only behind Torkelson) and -7 OAA. I give him credit for trying out there, but I don’t think this is a long term solution.

I’ve said this before, but Taylor just doesn’t look like a starter to me. Leave him in this role, he’s so damn valuable. How about trading Braden and more for a starter and signing Seiya?

Here’s the big problem with the Doyle acquisition. Getz knew at the deadline this outfield SUCKS hitting LHP. Instead of finding someone that can be relied upon to not be mediocre against LHP, he got one of the worst hitters in all of baseball.

Yep, given the slumps for a lot of the guys we were hoping would be studs in the years to come, it would be hard to really judge the trajectory. Obviously it’s been an incredible year in terms of win improvement.

There’s just no rhythm to his swing. I’ve been watching highlights from earlier in the year, and it’s insane how much he’s pulling off the ball and cutting off his swing.

They had plenty of money to use at the deadline. Used it all on Castillo. They flat out didn’t have enough quality prospects to trade with the pitching implosion this year.

They could have got him for less than Bonemer, but still a hefty package. Also let’s face it, Cubs defense is on a different planet than ours.
