I’d rather have Santander over Joc, easily. Calhoun is like 5th in baseball in terms of homers over the last 162 games. Again none of these are perfect solutions, but for him to act like Mazara is a better option is just ridiculous.

Something to keep in mind about Vaughn is it’s very likely minor league season starts a month or so after the major leagues. If they want to see how he hits in AAA before promoting him, it will likely be way longer than the typical few weeks due to service time.

He had a bad first few weeks but then was great. All I know is he made the Cubs righties look ridiculous in save situations.

They will be expensive salary or trade wise if you want an upgrade. If they don’t sign Joc, I would be surprised if we don’t hear about Calhoun via trade. There are guys like Santander or Reynolds who could be longer term fits but would cost you via trade.
