Only Gausman will IMO. Something to keep an eye on is that it’s likely none of the big guys decide anything for a while, as Cohen isn’t even in charge of the Mets for a few more weeks.
Fegan with a fantastic article today about Tony’s relationship with Maxwell and Sanders. Hopefully it makes some fans and/or players a little more receptive of the hire.
This is a great interview with Fegan about all things Sox. Non Tony related, but nice to hear good things about Thompson and Dahlquist.

Sox want a lefty hitting outfielder and also want more contact hitting on the team. If their scouts believe he can play RF, I would be shocked if the Sox don’t sign him.
I’m fine with all in pieces this offseason, to be honest. We know there are enough core guys around for next 4-5 years, so bring in additional pieces to immediately help.
Nightengale is a hack, he’s never right. With that said, I have a feeling Brantley is who they end up with. He fits with the contact approach Tony mentioned and he fits the whole “how do we hit Indians pitching” plan Hahn discussed.
It’s going to be interesting to see who the Mets go after. Realmuto seems a strong candidate for them, and I wonder if they go after Springer as well. Bauer could be an option for them.
Yep I think the fan base would have been a lot more at peace with things if the players seemed at the very least ok with it. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a coaching move that’s been met with less excitement.
No but getting your new manager with the face of your franchise on the same page goes a long way. I wouldn’t blame Timmy for being pissed if he found out about this at the same time we did. The silence from the players supports my opinion.
