  1. Only Gausman will IMO. Something to keep an eye on is that it’s likely none of the big guys decide anything for a while, as Cohen isn’t even in charge of the Mets for a few more weeks.
  2. Some people on here have convinced themselves TLR is the boogeyman
  3. Fegan with a fantastic article today about Tony’s relationship with Maxwell and Sanders. Hopefully it makes some fans and/or players a little more receptive of the hire.
  4. This is a great interview with Fegan about all things Sox. Non Tony related, but nice to hear good things about Thompson and Dahlquist. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=s7eDQNQxVQ4
  5. I was being sarcastic, sorry it wasn’t clear buddy
  6. Sox want a lefty hitting outfielder and also want more contact hitting on the team. If their scouts believe he can play RF, I would be shocked if the Sox don’t sign him.
  7. By all means, they should consider trading Madrigal and Cease. Cease to the Mets for Nimmo, if the Mets sign Springer, makes so much sense.
  8. I’m fine with all in pieces this offseason, to be honest. We know there are enough core guys around for next 4-5 years, so bring in additional pieces to immediately help.
  9. Especially with rumors in the past they considered not keeping him around
  10. Nightengale is a hack, he’s never right. With that said, I have a feeling Brantley is who they end up with. He fits with the contact approach Tony mentioned and he fits the whole “how do we hit Indians pitching” plan Hahn discussed.
  11. Welcome to the White Sox Talk Podcast 2020 White Sox number 3 hitter Nicky Delmonico
  12. It’s going to be interesting to see who the Mets go after. Realmuto seems a strong candidate for them, and I wonder if they go after Springer as well. Bauer could be an option for them.
  13. I was there with you yesterday saying it would work out, but it’s concerning to read and hear what the players are thinking
  14. Refusing to play for Tony would be my worst case guess. Again, this has 2016 vibes.
  15. So he will be 34 or so by the time they’re trying to contend. Doesn’t sound smart to me, to be honest.
  16. He wouldn’t fit their timeline at all.
  17. Yep I think the fan base would have been a lot more at peace with things if the players seemed at the very least ok with it. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a coaching move that’s been met with less excitement.
  18. Is it bad I’ve already had the thought “well at least there’s a lot of awesome SS available via free agency the next few years”
  19. Reminds me so much of the 2016 LaRoche debacle
  20. No but getting your new manager with the face of your franchise on the same page goes a long way. I wouldn’t blame Timmy for being pissed if he found out about this at the same time we did. The silence from the players supports my opinion.
  21. How in the world did they not have him talk with Timmy before the press conference? Just seems like a colossal blunder.
