But the fastball doesn't miss bats. That's a big problem when you don't have good offspeed pitches.

ERA of 4.45 and counting. His fastball command has been freaking awful last two starts. His velocity is down as well. The stuff he's shown the last month is not starting caliber.

WSD has suggested in the past that the Sox haven't cared for his offseason preparation. Brewers, Yankees, Braves and Padres seem to be the best fits.

Was thinking they should make him closer rest of the year. Could be interesting to see how he does as well as possibly enhance trade value in offseason.

They also had a strong connection to Kodi due to him being a first round pick and him finally showing progress this year.
