  1. Braun is going nowhere. They will trade Santana for pitching.
  2. The insider has been correct from the Brewers site so far, thus Yu probably going to Cubs
  3. Diaz was also easily available for Brewers once they drafted Hiura
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 26, 2018 -> 12:33 AM) Nah- Eloy, Dunning, and Rutherford/Adolfo. Hansen is a much better prospect than Diaz. Hansen higher ranked than Harrison but Brinson equally higher ranked than Robert
  5. Would you agree Sox equivalent is Robert, Hansen and Rutherford?
  6. If they only would have traded Ecreg, Dane Dunning would be happiest man alive
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 25, 2018 -> 11:14 PM) So Brinson for Yolmer isn't going to fly. Damn. How about for Phillips?
  8. Similar return to what the Sox got for Eaton in terms of quality
  9. Chain reaction of moves to follow for Brewers. Santana likely to be dealt, maybe for Salazar.
  10. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 24, 2018 -> 05:34 AM) This is his post: And the Braves, White Sox, Padres and Nationals are the reason it's not 100%. With the Braves being the biggest threat. Plus I know the Brewers offer. And no I'm not telling anyone here or even giving the SLIGHTEST hints. That gets some people in trouble if you know what I mean. Be ready though...... It's gonna sting a little bit. Yep no thanks. I think with the recent prospect rankings, it's illustrated how the Sox are strongest at RHP and outfield as of now. Also have read that Yelich graded out poorly in CF on defense.
  11. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 24, 2018 -> 01:23 AM) I get the Cubs kind of have no choice to go after him, but it would be something if this deal (+ Heyward) ends up preventing them from being able to extend Bryant or Rizzo. Oh they will have plenty of money, and still I believe they will get Harper. When's the last time a Japanese pitcher performed well without injury into his mid-30s?
  12. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 24, 2018 -> 01:58 AM) Not sure, but I think the same Brewer guy from the other night just posted Darvish to the Cubs. Seems pretty obvious and will likely be good for a few years and then completely fall apart. Theo will then just spend even more money to cover his mistakes.
  13. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 02:58 AM) Entirely possible we have zero involvement. We were in discussions but who knows the final outcome. Seems very, very likely the WSox aren't involved
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 11:57 PM) What do they do with Thames then? Doesn’t make a ton sense IMO. Been some speculation they want to upgrade from Thames
  15. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 12:56 AM) And that's what they have, no? Braun/Brinson/Santana with Phillips as well, as they do need 4. Broxton also
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 12:55 AM) Eric Hubbs‏ @BarstoolHubbs A little birdy told me Jacoby Ellsbury is heading to Milwaukee. Nothing definitive yet, but keep your ears peeled. I'll believe anything at this point Would likely mean Yu to Yanks
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 11:34 PM) Yeah outside of Yolmer, I am not sure I see what the match up between the Sox and Brewers would be. Abreu
  18. Leury is so underrated on this site. He was on his way to a huge WAR prior to the injury.
  19. The Cease stuff is more based on what scouts seem to suggest in terms of his future. He would be a top 50 guy if he was projected as a starter.
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 19, 2018 -> 08:52 PM) I agree that this is probably what it would take. I'd never do it though, and I doubt the Sox would either. Not worth it at this point in the rebuild How could you say no? Rutherford is coming off of a horrible season and if he shows no improvement is barely a top 30 org prospect. Cease by all accounts is destined to be a closer. It would be selling high on Hansen who had a great year but is by no means a lock to be a top pitcher. Yelich gives you cost certainty and flexibility heading into 2019 free agency class.
  21. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jan 19, 2018 -> 08:43 PM) Still a no thanks for me for what his price will be. Most people consider the Eaton trade a fleece'in of the Nats, I'd rather not be on that same page for a similar player. If his value has cratered and you can get him for guys outside our top 15-20 then cool, but I don't see them settling for that low of an offer. It was also considered a fleece because Giolito was a big name in the industry. Eaton was also criminally underrated in the media.
  22. QUOTE (BrianAnderson @ Jan 19, 2018 -> 08:40 PM) Mark my words the Sox will make a relatively nice move in the next 2-3 weeks. One we weren't necessarily expecting. Could it be Yelich? I personally hope so. But the Sox are going to add. Hahn said in an interview a few days ago that the team as constructed currently won't be the team reporting to camp in a few weeks. He's got something cooking still. Sign me up for Yelich. Where did Hahn say this
  23. Hansen, Cease, and Rutherford has been my proposed package all along and matches what they are supposedly asking for. Other teams like Braves could beat that though.
  24. Cooper didn't seem pleased with Rodon admitting he hadn't take care of his arm in the past
