  1. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 10, 2017 -> 02:10 AM) Well this season is starting to go to s*** just like every may. Um good
  2. Nice inning here for Tank Commander Pelfrey
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 10, 2017 -> 12:58 AM) Safe to say Melky has no idea what Hector is throwing tonite. Two uuugly Ks His swing just seems so strange vs LHP. He used to look incredible against Buehrle
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 9, 2017 -> 01:07 AM) Except with Giolito, his confidence is already shot. Exposing him to getting destroyed in Chicago won't do anything. It's not a matter of "wiping that confident smirk off his face" to make him more open to advice from the coaching staff. Unless there's something going on with him and he's not listening to them, listening to someone from the outside or his family...granted, that's all speculative, certainly someone at Future Sox who is close to the AAA coaching staff/pitching coach must have some insight, although I'm sure it will never get out for media purposes until the interventions start working successfully. Lots of speculation by you here. Personally I just think his fastball is unplayable. No command and horrible spin rate (assuming it hasn't improved)
  5. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 9, 2017 -> 02:04 AM) Demoting Giolito won't help his command and control. I think it would hurt his development having worse hitters flailing away at his garbage control. I'd almost like him to get a callup to work with Coop. I think they called up Fulmer last year to show him that whatever he was doing in the minors wasn't going to work in the majors. Everyone got all pissy that he wasn't ready but I think the brass was proving to him that he needed to change something. Agreed on everything
  6. QUOTE (reiks12 @ May 9, 2017 -> 02:02 AM) giolito is awful I am at 90% panic concerning him Luckily Lopez has been getting a bit better Giolito has all the makings of a reliever to me. Ironic considering everyone said he would be a starter and Lopez wouldn't
  7. Bernstein had Dan Hayes on the show today and suggested Anderson be sent down to AAA if his slump continues. I was surprised that Hayes didn't rule it out. Hayes actually thought it could be a good idea.
  8. Giolito hits the wall once again. Hard to believe how bad he's been 7.31 ERA and 1.76 WHIP
  9. You don't call up anyone important that will impact their service time too soon. End of story
  10. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 8, 2017 -> 12:25 AM) Agreed. Let this guy pitch and take his lumps. He needs to give them innings though. Can't be going 4 innings like last night
  11. QUOTE (turnin' two @ May 7, 2017 -> 11:15 PM) Ah, I see, judging him by a single start. Prudent. Never been a big fan but he didn't look bad at all during this game, as it was on tv
  12. Kyle Tucker is blowing up
  13. Plenty of base runners this weekend, just too many horrible hitters in the lineup
  14. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 7, 2017 -> 08:03 PM) Braves super prospect Ozzie Albies not doing much this series vs Charlotte. Tucker seems to be having easily the best year of guys Sox were linked to
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2017 -> 07:29 PM) This will probably jinx him, but I think Fulmer deserves three starts in May, and if it goes ok, keep him. Wouldn't mind giving him Friday against the Padres
  16. Moncada having quite the game
  17. QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 7, 2017 -> 07:20 PM) Seriously the sox are always late on cookies. Again just seems they are taking every other game off on offense. Steverson does a wonderful job
  18. QUOTE (daggins @ May 7, 2017 -> 08:11 PM) I mean, you say that now, but based on past performance, Davidson could easily be in Asche's position. They're both fringe major leaguers, one had a hot streak and the other a cold streak. Davidson has game changing power though and could possibly play 3rd, a spot where you have no prospects at. Might as well give him a season to show what he can do.
  19. QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ May 7, 2017 -> 08:06 PM) Sale looks like the best pitcher in baseball and Moncada is hitting .350 with walks and power. There's a *long* way to go, but this trade looks like a win-win for both sides right now. Agreed completely
  20. QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 7, 2017 -> 08:03 PM) Can we just release asche And stop treating Davidson like he's a 21 year old prospect
  21. Moncada just dominates on Sale Day
