  1. QUOTE (bruni @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:32 PM) That's not enough for Q. Really? Baez and Soler are MLB ready, cheap and have a chance to be special offensive talents. Castro is a 10 year younger version of Alexi with all the + and - that go into that mix. And you add in 2 pitchers to the young mix you have coming up through the system. Seems fair to me for Q plus Viciedo Jr. or do you somehow see better in other systems that would be available? Can't win if you can't hit, play D or manage. Maybe we make them throw in Davy Martinez to manage too! Yeah, that package would be plenty for Q, but it would never happen.
  2. Just about the worst call I have ever seen. Guy was probably 3 yards out of bounds for ten yards
  3. QUOTE (shysocks @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 09:48 PM) SIGN HIM AND BENCH HIM Cheap option to platoon with LaRoche!
  4. Not shocking news, and I won't be upset if they go in another direction. I guarantee it won't be Sanchez. If they do stay in-home, Saladino is the one they view as a potential SS.
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 03:59 PM) I would have put MSU ahead of ND and maybe even Alabama. Doesn't matter a whole lot though, if MSU beats OSU they'll jump over both. Yep, your post above about how a lot has to go ND's way to make it was very well written. If a team from B10 or B12 goes undefeated, they're definitely in.
  6. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 03:37 PM) Having the best win doesn't mean as much if all the rest of your wins are collectively far inferior, like I said Bama has 4 wins arguably better than MSU's 2nd best win, and they've at least looked dominate at times, where MSU hasn't. I get the no losses argument but to me nearly losing to Purdue is almost as damning as a loss, not to mention going down to the wire with Rutgers. How you win matters. To play devil's advocate, then why isn't ND being punished for needing a miracle to win at UVa? I agree with rock, it feels like Michigan St. is receiving too little credit for winning at Michigan. To me, the team that looked the most impressive in any top win this year was Florida destroying Ole Miss.
  7. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 04:42 AM) Clearly the playoff committee doesn't disagree. And about your point, what if a team has 4 losses but has 7 top ten wins? They would have by far the best quality of wins, but they'd have no chance at the playoff. Clearly it does matter. What if two teams both have one loss, but team A lost by 1 in overtime on the road to the #1 ranked team, and team B lost by 25 to an unranked foe at home? Team B has beaten 3 top 25 teams, while Team A has defeated 2. Who is more deserving in that scenario? Also, I did address the wins, I said ND was 7-1 against the 14th SOS. But it will sort itself out anyway. If Baylor/TCU/Ok State/MSU all win out, their resume will be better than ND's. Not sure about Bama though. Bama is going to end up with best SOS if they win out. They are easily in if they win out
  8. Florida should be highest ranked one loss team. Oh well, it will all get shaken up depending on whether or not Baylor/TCU run the B12 gauntlet
  9. Whenever I watch, Snell looks like he doesn't belong on the court. With Rose being as average as he is, seems like the Bulls aren't nearly as talented as they have been.
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 06:06 PM) So the refs threw a bunch of flags to help Duke score the go-ahead touchdown, and then ignored four things on the kickoff return to help Miami score the winning touchdown, which got the over there. Hmmm . . . . I hate conspiracies like this, as they would be the worst "fixers" ever if they waited until there was a miracle 8 lateral play with no time left to ensure the over was hit.
  11. Going to Reed was fine. He looked good in the NLCS and WS before this
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 05:16 AM) It looks like the Mets used up all their magic in the NLDS and NLCS. I think we are all winning to live with that
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 05:10 AM) Imagine if this Royals team had Sale...god that's a scary thought. Twins would have had better luck vs KC this year
  14. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 05:09 AM) He's been a bust for them, but now he'll be remembered forever in KC if they win it. Greg has been advocating the Sox trade for him for two years now
  15. Mets infield defense this series is the worst I have ever seen
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 05:07 AM) Christian Colon...lmao Guy they picked over Sale
  17. 4 straight sliders, just a total choke by the Mets this series
  18. Better get Morales or Dyson will steal two bases
  19. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 04:13 AM) First Wright doesn't look the runner back enough, then Duda makes a s***ty throw. Horrible. After throwing 3-2 offspeed pitch to Cain and not playing no doubles defense
  20. Mets defense has choked all WS
  21. Why aren't they playing no doubles?
  22. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 02:23 AM) Sox need to learn how to get cheap hits Had significantly more this year than KC
  23. Impressive meltdown
  24. Real nice pass and catch
  25. Shoop would be proud of this offense
