  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 03:48 AM) I refuse to take this laying down. Sox HAVE to win tomorrow and avoid the dreaded 3-game losing streak. This is not how sports work. Teams don't go on streak after streak in opposite directions. Wake up, White Sox! With my boy, Danks, going, it could easily be a replay of tonight. Why are the Sox suddenly s*** in the Cell (last homestand and this one)? Cause they've played KC, StL and NYY...3 of the best in all of baseball
  2. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 02:35 AM) Was Rodon as terrible as his numbers look? just about, hung an insane number of offspeed pitches
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 01:53 AM) Except that trading Shark yesterday would have been understandable. Yes to smart baseball fans, but the casual fan would have thought it was the Sox giving up
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 01:52 AM) No doubt about it. The fact they were trying to upgrade with a corner outfielder makes me think he might be traded this offseason. The front office isn't dumb, they can see how awful his WAR is.
  5. Hawk just said Ben Revere is having a heck of a year....OPS of .709 = heck?
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 02:44 AM) Very glad we stood pat at least. Thankfully didn't waste resources for Cespedes
  7. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 02:39 AM) Good call Robin, you dummy. Bring in a fresh arm you asshat. No long relievers on this poorly constructed roster
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 01:35 AM) I think we can fix one of them with Erik Johnson for now Wouldn't shock me one bit if Johnson comes up and has similar command to that of Rodon
  9. Albers doesn't seem to have much on his pitches.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 01:34 AM) He is fine on a team that doesn't want to compete this year and we are that team. He gets experience but we can't realistically believe we can win with him and Danks going 2 out 5 times. The #4/5 starters coming into the season was a huge blunder by Hahn.
  11. Rodon against a patient team, disciplined team like the Yankees is a horrible match-up.
  12. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 02:30 AM) It's like this team forgot how to win in 48 hours or they played two teams last week/earlier this week that have quit on the season and they're playing a legit team tonight?
  13. Toronto's offense is incredible to watch
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 02:10 AM) In what bizarro world could we have managed a deal of LaRoche and gotten anything of value? He went from modestly underperforming to free-falling after signing a market value deal. I don't know why anyone would have wanted to trade for him. If what someone said in another thread is true, seems like he needs to spend a little time on the DL There was talk about a month ago that Cards/Pirates had interest. I'm not even expecting value back, but if the Sox could have even got someone to take on 50 percent of his remaining deal, that would have been great.
  15. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 02:06 AM) Hahn's resume looks mediocre? He's taken an awful team and made them mediocre in 2 years. That's harder than it looks when the main farm additions are Carlos Sanchez and Carlos Rodon. You know who's resume looks awful... the guy... that would be KW. Spent a fortune this offseason and is very likely going to have another .500 team with a mediocre farm system. Hahn talks a great game, but he has not done a very good job so far.
  16. Maybe the most disappointing thing of the last 6 weeks or so was Hahn seemingly not trying to unload LaRoche on the Cards or Pirates. It's pretty obvious LaRoche is a terrible fit here.
  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 12:55 AM) I would rather have Erik Johnson up here to be honest. Rodon needs the experience at this level.
  18. QUOTE (Dizzy Sox @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 12:53 AM) Of course. This team is so miserable, even when they managed to win they did so in a way that ultimately is going to screw them over. Ugh, what a crappy year it has been for the Sox. Baseball hell
