  1. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 02:24 PM) Why Lackey, though? I'm pretty sure it will be David Price in a Cubs uniform. I've read a few places lately they'll go after Price and Lackey for their rotation.
  2. Kershaw game 4 and Greinke game 5 if needed. This is awful in terms of possible Cubs series if Dodgers win next 2. Looking at Arrieta vs Anderson or Wood in Game 1
  3. Mets just seem better than the Dodgers
  4. Cespedes hit that ball so hard
  5. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 03:10 AM) I wouldn't mind it. On Soxtalk, every fan annoys us if they're not White Sox fans from what I've learned. If anything Sox fans should relate to mets fans
  6. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 03:09 AM) Eh, I'm on both sides of this. They had the ability to get Price, but they weren't going to give up Seager or Urias to do it. Their line of thinking was, why give up prospects when we can get him in the offseason. Problem is, they never had a guy who could step up and be a #3 starter. Honestly, they would've been smart to look for a Quintana for Puig type deal considering he's not even being used (I understand he's injured, but even if he wasn't, he wouldn't be the surefire starter). Friedman is overvaluing prospects though. I think this year, the league was as wide open as ever. Good post
  7. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 03:02 AM) Ugh, the Mets fans are almost as bad as the Cardinal fans. The National League is just so hatable. What's wrong with Mets fans
  8. Lackey tomorrow...bombs away
  9. Saw Bernstein on Twitter speculating Arrieta's arm is bugging him due to an excessive amount of stretching by him between pitches
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 02:53 AM) The $300 million team has 2 starting pitchers they can trust. I will never understand what the Dodgers and Cardinals were thinking at the deadline
  11. Wind blowing out again tomorrow it appears
  12. The Sox are never going to go over bonus level for IFA
  13. Amazed that Broxton can't get a clean inning. He was so great with Milwaukee. He even made the Sox look good
  14. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 02:17 AM) Only one of those statements is true. Two
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 01:15 AM) My cub friends are douche bags with the texts I'm getting tonight. It's over, champagne is chilling, and my favorite, sox suck. Hate that NLDS became best out of 3
  16. Harvey with the awful inning tonight
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 12:47 AM) Speaks of one organization knowing how to develop hitters and one who doesn't. I remember people questioning the Cubs with the Schwarber pick.. they look like they got a steal now. And some of the high school pitchers they signed when Schwarber went under slot have received glowing reviews
  18. Cardinals pitching just collapsed down the stretch. Only with two reliable guys, and then we saw Garcia completely choke.
  19. Loved Kiley's draft knowledge and his weekly chats
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 12:08 AM) If the Sox organization was in any way competent, I wouldn't care about the Cubs success. But since our franchise has been terrible for the last few years with no end of futility in sight, I am resigned to rooting against the Cubs. This sucks. Agreed..if Sox are going to suck, then I automatically root for Cubs not to win it all
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 12:06 AM) I know what happened in the regular season, but I think the Mets could battle them now. Lots of similar bats, boom or bust. Agreed, Mets have some swagger in the 2nd half of the year.
  22. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 12:03 AM) Cardinals fans are the worst. Cubs are the dumbest. Please just show up next week Dodgers/Mets. Knowing how this season has gone, Kershaw/Cespedes/Familia and AGon will get into a fight tonight and be suspended for 10 games.
  23. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 11:49 PM) It wasn't right down the middle it was up over the outer third. Exactly where Bryant can extend and go to any field. And Bryant is a terrible change-up hitter
  24. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 12:57 AM) Cardinals unofficially ended their season with the Bryant HR. To me, the Garcia error on the Hendricks bunt was the turning point of this entire series.
  25. This Cubs team is just about unbeatable with the wind howling out like this. So many players in that lineup with perfect swings for this ballpark/weather. Only team that matched them at home with wind blowing out this year was the Tigers.
