  1. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 08:58 PM) Sad with the amount of Sanchez we've been seeing over the final week and a half. You already know what he is, why not run Micah out there Maybe they want to avoid more injuries with Micah this year and giving him only a few spot starts going forward. No problem with Sanchez getting more at bats, as he's the likely starter at 2nd next year.
  2. I keep hearing "experts" on the radio suggest the Bears should be competitive by the end of next year due to how the NFL is designed to help bad teams become good quickly. To me (and my pessimistic ways), sure seems like it will be a 3 year rebuild given the absolutely lack of building blocks on this team outside of Kyle Long and possibly Kevin White.
  3. QUOTE (shysocks @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) If Phegley ever has another year half as good as this one I'll eat my hat. Semien is still the only guy I'll miss from that deal - and I'll miss him plenty. Semien is a solid player, but if he's the best you give up in a trade for a possible top pitcher, then it's a deal you have to make. I see no reason why Anderson can't be a better SS than Semien. God knows I'm not the biggest Samardzija fan, but I think all of us were fine with who the Sox gave up at the time. Just too bad Samardzija flopped.
  4. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 02:22 PM) I haven't seen a truly dominant team yet. I think any of these teams could end up in the playoff: Ohio St, Michigan St, Mississippi, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Utah, UCLA, USC, Baylor, Oklahoma, Notre Dame. If Michigan finds a way to win out, they'll make the playoff. That Utah game quickly turned into one of the most "forgivable" losses.
  5. With how bad so many bullpens are, how did the Cubs get F. Rodney for nothing? Another career AL player now making it look easy in the NL
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 02:44 AM) So is there a legit super stud QB coming out next year? Like an Andrew Luck? I don't follow the college game. Not even close IMO
  7. Horrible collision in Cards game. Piscotty looks seriously injured.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 06:18 PM) How dare you. I enjoyed the first one, but the sequel was unwatchable

Pitch Perfect 2 was freaking awful

An incredibly intense Ray Donovan finale. Awesome show
  11. Schilling back for postseason
  12. Let's see who Ventura throws at tomorrow vs the Cubs
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 02:39 AM) Yet the Cubs got him for Scott Feldman and some bum I can't even remember. Not buying it. At the time, some speculated the main part of the trade the Cubs wanted was the slot money for Eloy Jimenez
  14. Only this year could Castro go from pitcher-hitting levels to Bryce Harper-levels after no one wanted him at the deadline. He's the anti-Samardzija
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 02:21 AM) I disagree. Theo rebuilt basically the entire FO, scouting department, etc. It's not ALL him. But the origin of their transformation begins and ends with Theo. Lots of teams wanted Arrieta, who to me is the reason they are ahead of schedule. Crappy thing is he was headed to Nationals in a trade from Orioles but Orioles owner wouldn't sign off on it due to their rivalry.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 03:03 AM) So, fathom. Do you hate the 2011 Red Sox? If not for that collapse, Theo might still be in Boston. lol. Nah, so much has gone right for them that I don't think it's all Theo's magic
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 01:52 AM) Yeah, that's got to be it. You should know me well enough to know that's sarcasm
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 02:51 AM) arrieta has always had talent, even when he struggled in Baltimore, but absolutely nothing about his career makes sense statistically. Only thing I've seen similar is halladay. Added 2-3 mph to fastball and that insane cutter
  19. Pirates just giving him a false sense of security for the WC game
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 01:23 AM) Arrieta is a cheat code. Mr. Sunday Night....has same number of homers hit as given up since his first Sox start.
  21. Haha, unique choice of letting LaRoche bat. No idea why he's getting any at bats still
  22. Pretty sure Olt leads the world in average HR distance
  23. Carlos Martinez left after two batters with shoulder tightness. Didn't look good based on his reaction.
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 25, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Would be fantastic if giants lose tonight so no cubs fans get to see them clinch. Couldn't agree more!
