  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:27 AM) I'd fine LaRoche for hitting into the shift on a 3-2 pitch, but that's just me. Hit it the other way and he's on base, baby. Fact he had two strikes makes it no issue, as he's just trying to make contact
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:23 AM) The thing is, we can't go right out and sell him either, because then he immediately comes off as a damaged good. If we try to move him (which I'm not against) it's unusual how we'd have to try and include him. Also, Danks is now our best pitcher. Suck it, Soxtalk. Not damaged goods, just an underachiever that maybe another team thinks they can fix.
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 02:17 AM) Avi is still young though and hasn't had a full year in the majors. Give the man time and not just get rid of him, he isn't the problem with this team Actually he's one of the biggest issues, as he has turned into a player that can't utilize any of his ability on the field
  4. Avi needs to be traded if any team still believes in his ability.
  5. Just looks like it's impossible for Abreu to pull anything in the air with authority
  6. Nice job by Bryan Price intentionally walking David Ross to get to Kris Bryant
  7. Schwarber again. Their draft scouting is incredible
  8. Good thing Robin keeps letting LaRoche bat vs. LHP. Can LaRoche please retire?
  9. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 03:42 AM) He's not a super duper star but he's really good. I think his thumb is really jacked up too. Problem is with all the massive holes on the offensive side, they need him to be a superstar
  10. I'm not sure Schwarber wouldn't be the best hitter on the Sox. Great approach and swing for him
  11. Hopefully his command improves during the 2nd half. It's been atrocious this year.
  12. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 21, 2015 -> 12:49 AM) I've said it before, but Micah needs to be called up as soon as Shark is traded. It would give him a good two months in the majors to prove whether or not his defense has progressed to the "passable" level. If so, I think you can safely count on him as your 2B heading into 2016, as the bat will translate well to the majors IMO. Agreed, time to get him some much needed MLB at bats
  13. Isn't this just following the same path Johnson's always taken? Go to one level and do solid, not great. Repeat the level and dominate. Offensively, he has little left to prove in AAA.
  14. Johnson/Coats/Davidson all homer in the 1st
  15. Arrieta pitching like an ace since the middle of June. He's going to destroy these weak-hitting teams they face quite often during the 2nd half.
  16. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:26 PM) Hell, if he hits good over the next two months, you might as well give him the SS position for next year while buying out Alexei's option. That would be ideal, as it would allow you to use that money to find a new 3rd baseman or possibly catcher.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 09:54 PM) The irony is that we're tied for the 9th pick in the first round. We can't even lose in a beneficial way. Purgatory. If they trade Samardzija and start giving some of the younger guys more at bats, they'll rack up the losses with their killer schedule the rest of the way.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:30 PM) Giants starting to apply some pressure to the Cubs from below. Mets need another bat or two...in the same situation, almost, arrived on the scene a year early. Pirates have a tough schedule in the 2nd half, and they just started off the half with a horrible sweep at Milwaukee. The Pirates need a few bats, as Pedro Alvarez, Mercer and Polanco are brutal.
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:30 PM) Great time to sell. Sox fans were lead to believe that we would be competing for a playoff spot this season. Now we have to rely on the same general manager with the same book of excuses? I'm sorry but when you come out of a rebuild and screw up your on a short leash. What is he going to do this time? Ask us to be patient with another 2-3 years of crap baseball? Just like with Phil Emery and Marc Trestman last year. You start talking about competing you better get it done. There's no where to hide if you dont. Hahn's gotten a free pass for a terrible offseason (in terms of results on the field). He needs to win a few of these big trades going forward, as so far he doesn't have a lot to show at the big league level besides Eaton/Avi.
  20. This team might end up with no one hitting 20 homers
