  1. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 02:12 AM) Who would pay to watch this garbage? I was so close to buying some type of season tix package. Very grateful I waited.
  2. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 03:10 AM) Fire everybody. Please
  3. Melky seems incapable of pulling a fastball
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 02:55 AM) Is that 2.1 innings 8 runs? If so his ERA will be well over 4 in AA. Even people not watching wouldn't give up much for that. Yes 2.1 innings with 8 earned. It has been a very bad year for the farm.
  5. Might want to stop playing Beckham so much. He looks dead tired at the plate.
  6. Tyler Danish went 2.1-8 tonight. Use him as a trade chip to get hitting, as he's not a starter.
  7. Samardzija's defense cost him both runs tonight. That would be a new way for the Sox to lose.
  8. Bryce Harper hurt his knee tonight. Hopefully it's nothing serious, as he's fun to watch.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 01:14 AM) Are you starting him over Coghlan, Fowler or Soler? Fowler's slowed down to the point where there's at least a debate between him and Eaton now. Over Soler
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 01:11 AM) Is it too much to ask for one position player to come through and contribute? Have to hope that Anderson can put it together. All these Cubs hitters are considered top 20 prospects when they get promoted. When is last time Sox had someone like that?
  11. QUOTE (coco1997 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 01:06 AM) Small sample size but all of the Cubs big name prospects have looked like winners so far. It really makes this organization look pathetically inadequate. On the offensive end, there is an insane talent gap between the Sox and Cubs. Only Avi would be able to start for them this year.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 01:06 AM) Hahahaha Not sure I have ever seen a dumber team
  13. Stupid play by Samardzija costs Sox a double play.
  14. Not sure Schwarber wouldn't be the second best hitter on the Sox
  15. Good lord, Schwarber looks incredible. Opposite field homer on 95 mph fastball
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 08:52 PM) Coop was boasting of the big plans he had for Noesi at Soxfest. A lot of people bought the hype. He does have talent, maybe bouncing around for a few more years may make something between his ears work a little better. The Sox didn't act like they had a lot of confidence in him this year. Extremely quick hooks, as well as skipping quite a few starts early on. I don't blame them, as he's just not a good fit for the Cell. He probably would fare much better pitching somewhere like San Fran
  17. The Cardinals have a great record, but oh man, their offense has completely faded the last month or so. They desperately need to acquire another bat before the Pirates/Cubs catch up to them.
  18. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 04:14 AM) Boston got Balttimore's #3 prospect for Miller at trading deadline last July and he was only a 2 month rental. If the Sox eat some of his salary, I think they can get a good piece for Robertson.
  19. Gallo homered off of Kershaw. The new wave of Bryant, Gallo and Correa look incredible.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 04:08 AM) Hate to say this but the Sox blew it last offseason by being loyal. When Maddon was available, it was time to put Robin in the TV booth with Hawk and Stoney; three man booth. Or 3 man radio booth. Or give him some job til his contract runs out. Loyalty is great, but when a star manager becomes available and your manager is Robin, you have to bid bye bye to Robin. Can't blame Hahn for trying with all the trades, but now it's time to trade the guys he acquired. Should be do-able. He left Tampa knowing he wanted to go to NL and manage the Cubs. Lots to be frustrated about this year, but the Sox would have never been an option.
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 03:46 AM) The last 3 words of your post are perfect. "Start over again." That's all that needs to be said. Problem is if you really want to rebuild, then Sale/Quintana/Abreu need to be traded. By the time a rebuilding team would be ready to compete, their contracts will almost be up. There are too many crappy players in the organization to get enough prospects to make a rebuild work well
