Gallo promoted to the Rangers. Pretty cool to see his debut.

2015 MLB Draft
The concern I have about going severely underslot with the first pick is that they'd have to wait something like 104 picks for their next selection. All it takes is a few other teams doing this same strategy, and the Sox could miss out on some guys they wanted. I'd much rather just go after the BPA with first pick.

2015 MLB Draft
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 1, 2015 -> 10:07 PM) Who knows how he will respond when he is actually part of a rotation but he easily held velocity into his 4th inning of work today which was good to see. And probably guaranteed he's long gone by 8

White Sox vs Astros Game Thread 5/31
Considering Houston's ability to hit the ball out of the park, this was a masterful outing by Danks. It's also great that he was able to give everyone in the pen 2 full days off.

Wow, Alcides Escobar with a rare miscue. He's been making that same play all season.

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)
QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 30, 2015 -> 10:37 PM) In the annals of Ventura clownsmanship, bringing in a situational lefty to face the 2 RH Astros power hitters may just lead the pack. Hasn't he been good vs righties

Sanchez is just a disaster offensively.

So How Does Hahn Fix This Mess?
For starters, it would be nice if Melky remembers how to hit. If not, that's 5 holes potentially heading into next year. Abreu, Avi, Eaton and LaRoche will be the main guys likely.

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)
17k in 38 at bats for LaRoche against LHP

Close pitch on Eaton was a huge call. Avi rifled that pitch

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)
QUOTE (Dunt @ May 30, 2015 -> 10:31 PM) This is the worst Sox offense I can remember in 30 years watching this team. At no point do I feel they have a chance to put up over 3 runs. It's hard to make Improvements to it given the mediocre farm system and the contract situation for those struggling. Melky and LaRoche need to pick it up with Abreu and Avi banged up.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 30, 2015 -> 09:20 PM) If he starts all the time he'll figure that out right? He should be playing 3 out of 4 games

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)
Never seen a catching tandem that struggled so much just to catch the ball. Twice this week for Soto in big spots.

Keuchel's not even a big strikeout pitcher, but he's on pace to have a huge K game.

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 30, 2015 -> 09:45 PM) EB just does not seem a fit for this team. For how he's been used, Viciedo was a much better fit

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)
Even with Abreu, the lineup vs LHP is simply pathetic. Having Melky bat 4th vs LHP is comical.

Abreu Finger Injury
Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 6m6 minutes ago Jose Abreu is headed to the hospital for x-rays. Said he initially hurt his finger two weeks ago in Chicago. #WhiteSox Hopefully he's ok, but has to be concerning it's still swollen after two weeks

2015 MLB Draft
Tate rebounded from a slow start to have a very good game. Both him and Fulmer pitched well tonight.
