QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 04:34 AM) Stripling or Maddon pitching to Goldy with a base open and the tying run on 3rd?!? Lot of fun manager talk tonight. Couldn't believe they pitched to Goldschmidt. As for Stripling, I get it.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:25 AM) Valpo promotes Matt Lottich to be head coach. I remember him as a senior on the first New Trier team to win a baseball title. Now he's married, with four kids, and a D1 basketball coach. Life, man. No kidding, for those old enough to remember Prodigy, Josh Pastner used to post all the time on the college basketball message board when he was 15 or so. Now, he's the coach of my favorite team.

Another ACL for Dudek

I like Fulmer a lot but he needs a lot of work still. No reason to rush him

Davidson first of many homers. Johnson stinking

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 10:46 PM) Besides the 9th inning yesterday and Adam Eaton this offense has been pretty bad Should have traded for Jay Bruce. Team put way too much stock into ST homers

Heck of a number 5 hitter....not

acl/mcl tear. Keep Rodon in a bubble!

Rollins just can't hit lefty very well now

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 10:13 PM) It's going to be a memorable opening day for being bad. Just one game. Just have to put up with Danks being terrible 25% of the time. These AL Central lineups are no joke, especially against LHP.

QUOTE (wizeguy57 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 10:12 PM) Danks needs to officially be on the clock. One more awful start like this and it's time for 5th starter auditions to begin. I don't care about his fing contract if he is going to be a sure loss every 5 games. You know damn well they'll give him 2 months to prove he can't contribute anymore

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 10:09 PM) Nobody can hit a fastball. They kinda desperately need another lefty bat. Salazar destroys righty hitters, yet we have a DH that can't hit RHP.

Lawrie looks horrendous. Can't make any contact on fastballs. Seems to be cutting off his swing too much and not opening up his hips.

Wow, the team sure sucks in all aspects today.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) Not an excuse bud.. I hate Danks as much as the next guy but that was a horrible route by Jackson, if you couldn't see that you are blind Ball took off cause of the wind...he had no chance at it. It does appear his arm is garbage, which is bad news considering Eaton throwing a bowling ball in RF.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 09:54 PM) Danks is gona make this ugly hahaha god he sucks I know he pitched well yesterday, but hard to imagine this team contending with lefty Danks and his righty twin going 2 out of every 5 games.

This Indians lineup against LHP is damn good. We all knew Davis would kill the 4 LHP.

Danks has a nice change-up today...problem is Indians are crushing his heater.

Team better start hitting fastballs better today than they did in Oakland, or Salazar is going to destroy them

Rollins gonna have to learn to avoid that shift batting lefty.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 09:37 PM) Start that clock for Danks because I cannot wait til he's gone Last season, thank god. That contract extension has been an absolute killer.

Santana could have easily been out for being inside the baseline. Also, Jackson with another bonehead play as he threw home instead of to 3rd.

Danks looks awful...missing location with limited velocity

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 05:21 PM) And DePaul, Miami, and Georgia tech GT could have a great shot, as they were one of his top 5 before hiring the coach he first announced for. Look for GT to bring in some assistants with massive recruiting connections.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Buster Olney ‏@Buster_ESPN 3m3 minutes ago A lot of concern within the Cubs organization today about Kyle Schwarber's injury, and there is more concern about his knee than his ankle. Just heard him on the radio and it sure seems like the Cubs expect it to be a ligament tear
