  1. Nice catch!!! Crazy last two innings, with Beckham proving to the Giants they should have traded for him.
  2. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:20 AM) it's a horses*** rule..... Oh I hate the rule, and would have felt bad for Giants if he was called safe
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:21 AM) Pitch Matt not Belly. Putnam still
  4. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:18 AM) If the team looses tonight and the season ended today, they would have secured the 9th pick in the draft. The team still has a shot of getting a pick as high as number 4 overall. I'm all for high draft picks, but I want a win tonight
  5. That's such bs, as the rule states he should be safe
  6. It sucks that Hahn is gonna have to likely overpay for a closer this offseason due to this group of relievers sucking and the injury to Jones
  7. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:57 AM) You freeze him with a 95 mph fastball and come back with a floating 87mph change over the middle of the plate?!?....goddamn!!! Pisses me off more than anything giving up runs on hanging change ups.... There's like a 6 mph difference between his fastball and changeup. That is awful.
  8. Of course...Petricka has absolutely no off speed pitch.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 04:50 AM) Horrible bullpen Pitch selection is absurd as well.
  10. He's got to be able to throw something besides a fastball for a strike
  11. Sale might have had the best stuff tonight I have ever seen from a Sox starter. Three pitches that are plus-plus.
  12. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 04:43 AM) Shouldn't affect Abreu's ground outs one bit. Good call, he's struggling to get any loft on a fastball
  13. So glad Beckham is batting in front of Abreu against a RHP.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 03:42 AM) Danks is just worthless. His swing will never work at this level.
  15. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 02:04 AM) Erik Johnson 2.0 IP, 6H, 6ER, 2BB, 0K Not sure how others feel, but at this point, I'll be pleasantly surprised if he ever becomes a solid contributor for the big league team. Hopefully he has some type of minor injury he's been trying to get over this year.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 12:44 AM) Alcantara has already been slumping after a nice start. Baez with 13 K's in 33 AB's, although a bit of an improvement over 10/23. OTOH, their young pitcher Hendricks is doing a pretty good impression of Greg Maddux Lite. Or Dylan Axelrod? Small sample size for Hendricks, but he's been real good ever since he got out of the first inning of his career. He has great command, but a mediocre fastball.
