  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 25, 2014 -> 07:47 PM) I have a feeling that loss yesterday is going to cause some bad losses the next few games Could be looked at as turning point of the season if they can't get back to .500
  2. Two pitches over 90 mph this inning for Rienzo
  3. And this is why yesterday's loss was so deflating
  4. Good game for Danish. Offensive prospects still not doing much of anything this week.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 24, 2014 -> 10:32 PM) The reason this might be the best option is that everyone else in the bullpen has looked uncomfortable in their new roles, and this would push Downs, Bellisario, Petricka, and Putnam back to the roles they had been succeeding in. Great post, and let's face it, it also plays into the rebuilding part of this year where you're getting the closer of the future some valuable experience. No one else in the bullpen right now has potential closer stuff.
  6. Quite a change of fortunes in a span of 17 hours....crazy to think about. With that said, if this game helps Danks turn it around, then it was worth it.
  7. So who gets the next chance to close? Petricka is my guess.
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ May 24, 2014 -> 10:10 PM) It's basically a College of Coaches without saying it is, but Robin does pre and postgame interviews. There's no authoritative figure. Starting Garcia in LF instead of Sierra just made no sense during the game, and of course, it hurt the Sox today. Between that, not guarding the line when Solarte was up, and using ADA and Garcia instead of Flowers/Gillaspie in the 10th....it just makes you wonder how in the world these decisions are/aren't being made.
  9. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 24, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) The game should never f***ing end on a close fastball that you take. A breaking pitch that barely touches the zone, fine. But it's a god damn fastball, you can't take a close fastball. Especially given the ump's gigantic strike zone. With how overmatched Beckham looked against his fastball, he had to know that was coming.
  10. The last two games have had some of the worst managing by the Sox coaching staff. I said this last night, but these players deserve a lot better than the managing they've received from Ventura. It's too bad the Sox are so loyal, as Hahn has got to see the bulls*** that is taking place.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 24, 2014 -> 10:03 PM) Get on Gordon, I like the odds of Viciedo and Dunn getting something done. Viciedo has NO CHANCE of doing anything here.
  12. QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 24, 2014 -> 10:03 PM) Can DeAza just go away? Please!! Me ! Fathers day gift for please And take Ventura, Downs and L. Garcia too
  13. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 24, 2014 -> 09:01 PM) Garcia k's for the third time today It made no f'n sense for him to start anyways
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 24, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) I'm not sure how Alejandro is this bad. After starting off hot against the Twins, he's been absolute garbage. He's in DFA range
  15. Wow, that wasn't even close. Good thing we had 3 lefties face Robertson here.
  16. You could have Flowers and Gillaspie bat instead of ADA and Leury Garcia....
  17. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 24, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) Oh god, Alejandro is batting...... Horrible managing the last two innings. Read a f***ing scouting report
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 24, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) It's cause our pitchers can't put hitters away. Shouldn't have been throwing fastballs to Soriano.
  19. Actually, why isn't this Flowers instead of ADA? Robertson is much tougher on lefties.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2014 -> 08:53 PM) I forgot about that unwritten rule, probly cause I don't consider Bella a closer. Yep, they treated him like Mariano Rivera instead of a set-up man.
  21. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 24, 2014 -> 08:53 PM) We'll probably see Nieto De Aza and Eaton to start the bottom half the inning. Gillaspie will hit for Garcia probably.
