  1. ADA with nice base running
  2. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 07:54 PM) How long was his fly out? Routine, 20 feet from track
  3. If this team tried hard enough, they can earn that 6th pick
  4. QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 06:11 PM) Garcia can't get his hands in on a belt high fastball and then rolls over the next pitch for his 6-3 special. A lot to like about Avi, but I am nowhere near as big on him as most of the people around here. I have always thought of him as a strong complimentary player, but not likely all star caliber. If he is your 5th best hitter in you lineup, you should have a good offense.
  5. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 06:54 PM) lol Missed it, what happened on error
  6. Avi looks way more comfortable against LHP than RHP
  7. I would love to see Mitchell get a call-up in a few weeks. It's worth seeing if the changes at the plate are legit. http://cltknightsinsider.blogspot.com/2014...-hit-steak.html
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 03:16 AM) I don't think he needs to be replaced, but when s***ty hitters didn't hit, it used to be blamed on the hitting coach. Why when s***ty pitchers get lit up, isn't it on Cooper? He also never seemed committed to the idea of Hector Santiago being a starter, and he would easily be the 3rd best starter on this team.
  9. Chicago radio on Monday should be full of meatheads calling for Urlacher to return, etc.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 02:06 AM) Special Teams, stop sucking This is unreal
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 01:13 AM) They seemed really intent on not giving Semien time at SS earlier this season but he's gotten a decent amount of time there since Saladino got hurt. I'm not sure what that means for him. It seems like they want him to become a super utility guy. I don't think it's the worst idea, as Gillaspie can't hit LHP and Johnson (assuming he'll be the 2nd baseman of the future) struggles against them as well.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 04:03 AM) He gets a pass until he gets a team that should win. I mentioned it before, according to Soxtalk, the LF sucks, the CF is good but is always hurt, the RF sucks, the 3B might be OK, the SS needs to be traded, the 2B is awful, the 1B is awesome, the C sucks, the DHs and bench need to go away. The bullpen is awful, and at least 40% of the rotation is garbage. Only green sox could manage this team to 130 wins. It's amazing how nearly every pitcher has underachieved this year, yet Cooper receives very little criticism on here. People probably just love his radio interviews.
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 02:38 AM) Briggs is so slow anymore. Peanut looked gassed after the 4th play of the game.
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 03:46 AM) Can't blame Robin for this one but who cares the Sox are tanking fantastically towards a top 8 pick. Only thing that matters rest of the way is the production of the youth and the cornerstones like Jose and Sale and Q. Forget wins and losses the next 30 odd games and enjoy watching some of the new faces. Boston is doing their best to tank as well. White Sox just can't make up ground on them right now.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 02:39 AM) It's a concern, but I'd rather have offensive players that know how to win games without the homer sometimes too. I think you need a mix. The problem is there's not a lot of home runs coming from Eaton, Micah Johnson, Avi, Gillaspie, Alexei. Gonna have to find some power in LF and DH.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 03:11 AM) Not a Mel Tucker fan I saw enough last year to not want him back this season. This defense looks so slow.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 02:36 AM) Only one game this month with more than one homer. No surprise the Sox are 6-13. Lack of power in the lineup is a gigantic concern going forward in 2015.
  18. Webb has terrible command of his fastball. This game started off fun, but quickly turned into the usual debacle.
  19. 3-3 double for Anderson!
  20. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 01:22 AM) John Danks to Bellasario, out of the fire and into the frying pan. This duo should be present at the draft next year when the Sox have a top 10 pick.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 02:16 AM) I wonder if JR played hardball with the umpire union. I was wondering if this all could be a big FU to JR for the commish stuff
  22. Something fishy as hell is going on with the replay umps and the White Sox.
  23. Avi not running well
  24. Was that an 86 mph fastball that Danks threw?
