QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 02:57 AM) if he signs Price in the offseason, can he afford Arrieta after the 2017 season when hits free agency? Sure since their offense is incredibly cheap

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 03:55 AM) What is the hype level in Chicago right now compared to the Kerry Wood strikeout game? Nowhere close

QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 03:53 AM) the Scott Feldman trade has to be one of the worst in the last 20 years. Also didn't realize arrieta is 29 Especially if Eloy Jimenez turns into a monster

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 02:53 AM) The Cubs are so good it hurts. They currently have two starting pitchers they can rely on. Still think Theo absolutely screwed up trade deadline.

Well that was bound to happen. Better now than in the Wild Card game.

Well I guess Saladino won't be the lead Chicago story

Funny thing is that easily could have been called a hit in the 3rd. Kind of ridiculous that's an error while the Avi drop was a hit last week

9 strikeouts, all swinging at pitch outside the zone

No hitter thru 7. He dominates lefties so Mattingly put 7 in lineup

Shapiro to Jays

QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 01:07 AM) for some reason I feel like I've been considering the Dodgers an elite team this year, but they really aren't quite as good as I thought Awful 1-2 in their lineup doesn't help. Puig also has sucked and their trade deadline acquisitions have been horrendous. As for tonight, Arrieta is making them look silly. He's been the best pitcher in baseball the last month.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) 2 weeks ago they mailed it in. Once Sale imploded against Boston, the season has seemed to be over. They lost any and all momentum they had.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 07:44 PM) Well if you ever had a doubt what a team that mailed it in looks like, take a good look Being at the game last night, it was the most lethargic I've ever seen a Sox team. From Samardzija's demeanor pre-game to hustling on/off the field between innings, it was pretty shocking.

This team is simply awful. Might as well lose as many games as possible now.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 06:37 PM) I really hope Avi can improve his O game. Like why the f*** is he always hitting ground balls. His swing path is and has always been awful

Team looks focused again coming out of the gates. Heck of a job Ventura and Cooper are doing.

QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 04:59 AM) Catching a game in Toronto next Sunday as part of my honeymoon (getting married Friday), excited to watch the Jays. Plan on picking up a Buerhle shirsey. Prices as expected are much higher since the last time I caught a Sox game there in 2009 when we were able to walk up and get club level for under $50 Canadian. Stubhub is all $30-40 for the Upper Deck right now and where we sat then is around $100 American. Back then the exchange rate was pretty close where as now our dollar is stronger than Canada's. Had to watch Roy Halladay own us that day... we jumped to a 2-0 lead on Halladay then got shut out which brought back bad memories from the year before in 2008 (infamous blow up doll clubhouse scandal broke that day!) when Halladay out-dueled Contreras who actually pitched the whole game and lost 3-2. If you can work out a deal for a suite in the hotel overlooking the field, I highly recommend it!

At least they face a lefty tomorrow. Hopefully they remove Samardzija from the rotation

What a terrible at bat by Sanchez

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 03:49 AM) How come u guys don't like Swirsk? Glad Saladino got that hit. He'd been struggling. Eaton walked to bring tying run to the plate and you would have never known by his tone

Hey nice swing by Saladino

Feel free to show the slightest bit of excitement Chuck.

Shouldn't have 2nd worst hitter batting 2nd

QUOTE (Saufley @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 12:20 AM) It has become so bad and such a joke that I don't even care anymore!! RV is an awful manager! It would even be worse if he was being told how to manage this team by KW or RH. Just fire all 3

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 11:18 PM) Rightfully so. I can't stand Samardzija at this point and can't wait for him to be gone. Please god don't accept the QO
