  1. Everyone that has tried to pull the ball tonight has had no success besides one single, I believe.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 01:15 AM) Off topic, but do people actually watch Cubs games? If their ratings aren't terrible, they should be. Even I've stopped watching. I'll check out their minor league guys...so far, Kris Bryant has been incredible and Javy Baez has been about as bad as Matt Davidson.
  3. If they can get a team to take Danks and like 80-90% of his remaining salary, you would hope they would take advantage of that and get a mulligan on a contract he likely won't live up to.
  4. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 01:04 AM) What about the bullpen? Rather let the bullpen blow a game that's probably going to be lost anyways than have Danks throw a career high in pitches. Did they not learn their lesson with Sale?
  5. Robin having another stupid game. No excuse for Danks to still be in there with this many pitches. Not protecting one of the "reliable" starters given the other injuries is inexcusable.
  6. I didn't know the Sox were playing tomorrow night Hawk....goodness, so many factual errors made in the broadcasts this year.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:58 AM) I have nothing to back this up but it seems like Abreu is more pull happy so far against lefties. Check out the stat I just posted. That last pitch was in the perfect spot for him to drive to right field.
  8. Interesting that Abreu is only batting .154 vs LHP. Good news is 3 of those 4 hits are homers.
  9. Yuck...good thing we let the pitcher bat that inning.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 01:52 AM) He tried Up to this point, change-ups have been the best pitch to get him out with.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:48 AM) Nieto is an automatic out. Might as well make it productive Sure, if it was tied or a 1 run game. That bunt made absolutely no sense in a 3-0 game with the current state of the Sox bullpen.
  12. Eaton has got to have a better approach than that. Not a fan at all of his flailing at the plate against LHP.
  13. Um, what? If he's such a bad hitter that you don't have confidence in him getting a hit to keep the rally going, then why in the hell is he in the majors?
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:46 AM) My boys are 4-4 tonight. Should have been Dick Allen statue night
  15. Gordon has a great approach tonight. Gotta find a way to get Abreu up this inning.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:44 AM) Alright who is pumped for Noesi time?!? Escobar, Hanigan and Zobrist
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:40 AM) Seriously, it's unbelievable what's happening to him. He must be doing something in his check swing that is causing umps to keep making the wrong call
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 01:39 AM) It's a 4 game series Chuck These Sox broadcasts have been so inaccurate this season.

3-3 for Johnson...wonder if they'll promote him to AAA sooner rather than later.
  20. Nice job by Danks overcoming the error.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:30 AM) Micah 2-2. He got picked off. More importantly, against a LHP (his splits have been huge). Trayce in one of his big slumps, as OPS is hovering around .750 now.
  22. The Cubans are letting Minoso down tonight...0-7
  23. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 12:27 AM) I swear I think some fans want the announcer to hold their hands throughout the course of the game. Considering that a hit there probably ends the Sox chances tonight, it could have been a crucial non-call in the game. With that said, if Hawk didn't always complain about calls, then I doubt anyone would have mentioned his silence.
