Rumors of more issues at ND with possible player suspensions

Kinda funny to see everyone on twitter talking about how great Sale and Samardzija would be as a 1-2 when there's no doubt in my mind Q is the actual 2nd best pitcher.

An underrated aspect about acquiring Samardzija is that he's a huge name in the Chicagoland area, and he's someone that I think fans would go out to watch pitch (oh great, more ND fans at Sox games)

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 03:33 AM) The only similar top threes I can think of are Kershaw/Greinke/Ryu and Strasburg/Zimmerman/Roark or whoever their 3 is Price, Sanchez, Porcello

Chuck Garfien ‏@ChuckGarfien 49s50 seconds ago Can tell you that White Sox players are anxiously awaiting word on Samardzija. As one player put it, he'd be "pumped."

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:29 AM) I'd be okay with that. Yep, I have absolutely no confidence that the Sox would have been able to develop him and help him overcome some massive flaws.

Boyer better start planning on the Shark Tank promotion with Jeff and Viciedo

QUOTE (daggins @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 03:28 AM) well semien is likely the SS, so who is the hitter? Hawkins

Every reporter at the meetings saying the deal is close now.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:24 AM) I hope May is in it, as I think his value is higher than his talent. Thing is, outside of Anderson and Rodon, there's really no one I'd be upset with if they're traded. You just don't want to see too much go for a rental.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:22 AM) I don't like it, but no worries. Any other moves coming up besides this?

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:20 AM) Some here are not gonna like the package sent. Semien and Danish is my guess

QUOTE (Real @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:18 AM) Bob Nightengale on MLB Network just said "Jeff Samardzjia is going to the Chicago White Sox" I'm watching, and he didn't mean to say it. He meant to say if they got him.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:02 AM) Yeah or even Castro. Just staring the pot a bit. I can't imagine they'd give him up for Starlin. If so, Cubs should make that deal now.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 03:00 AM) Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 2m2 minutes ago Belief around baseball is that Noah Syndergaard is in play in trade talks for the #Mets. Hey Mets, you want Alexei? Seems like Tulo would be the guy if Thor's involved.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:45 AM) I just don't feel right about this...call me crazy Completely agree, it seems like they're going from rebuilding to "all in" a little too quickly

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:35 AM) And hasn't done anything since his brand new contract. Two thoughts: - I wonder if they got the DBacks to take EJax back in the deal - Is this going to lead to a possible Hamels trade with Wellington Castillo in the deal?

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 03:30 AM) Cubs on the verge of acquiring Miguel Montero. Ha, one of my least favorite players in the majors. Seems to have a poor attitude.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 03:27 AM) I doubt we trade a RHP that we project to be in the starting rotation. Yep, that move is the type that would be done by a team going for it all in 2015.

My computer won't let me link it right now, but the CMU youtube video of their bowl announcement is phenomenal.

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 01:11 AM) One has to wonder how many of these rumors are true at this point. Is there anybody we are NOT interested in? Alex Rios

QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:37 PM) Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 3s3 seconds ago Sources: Barring late change, Lester choosing between #Cubs, #SFGiants. Cubs fans planning the parade already

I thought The Newsroom was great last night, but Homeland was disappointing after an amazing episode two weeks ago.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 07:15 AM) So they essentially got Billy McKinney and Dan Straily for free. I wonder who the Cubs trade Hammel to in 7 months. That A's trade last year by Theo is one of the better ones in a long time.

Maybe they would rather have him wait to interview until offseason transaction period is over?
