As for Nate Jones, I definitely feel like he has a future with this organization as a righty set-up man. How's this for a hypothetical situation: - Flowers' miserable season continues, as he bats under .200 for the season and struggles mightily behind the plate - Phegley puts up an OPS around 1 in AAA for the full season Do the White Sox go into next year with a catching tandem of Phegley and Gimenez again, or does Phegley become the back-up and a starting catcher is acquired via trade or free agency? Something you really don't want to see happen is a repeat of what's happened so far this year behind the plate during next season with an inexperienced catcher being thrown into the starting spot with an inexperienced catcher at the back-up. Of course, if the Sox go into a full rebuilding mode, then who cares about how inexperienced they are.
