  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 1, 2013 -> 03:05 AM) The Tigers also did well against Cy Worley. In my dumb opinion, this Tigers team is the most talented team the Sox have had to contend with in the AL Central since those loaded Indians teams with Manny and Thome, etc.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 1, 2013 -> 03:04 AM) Probably because there is a lot less ground to cover in the corners. Or he's an idiot. Who knows. Our team is far better off with him in CF with the possible exception of when Danks plays there...but in that case, why would you want to rearrange the defense for the few times he plays? Great post
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 1, 2013 -> 03:03 AM) How are those ER's for Quintana, they wouldn't of scored if Greene would of made the damn throw! Can't assume the DP
  4. QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 1, 2013 -> 01:58 AM) Alejandro is a AAAA at best. Quintana has no confidence and who would with the guys behind you. De Aza played well enough to be in the majors the last two years, I just have no idea where his focus has been so far this year.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 1, 2013 -> 01:57 AM) Who could replace him? Casper Wells in CF? Wise? Danks? Those are the only guys capable of playing CF, and Wise really shouldn't be there anymore. I think next year it will be someone outside the organization starting in CF.
  6. Q has to elevate the ball more effectively. He's a very comfortable at bat for the Rangers tonight.
  7. Well, looks like Q is a 75 pitch pitcher.
  8. QUOTE (Jake @ May 1, 2013 -> 02:52 AM) That, Alejandro, is why you should be playing CF Why, he's mediocre out there also and has no confidence in CF.
  9. De Aza is a very bad baseball player so far this year.
  10. This defense is laughable. With that said, Quintana is gassed again. No idea what's going on with his stamina.
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 1, 2013 -> 02:49 AM) My gosh the defense sucks EVERY game. +1
  12. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 1, 2013 -> 01:37 AM) Darvish is vulnerable but we just can seem to capitalize. 1 pitch outs doesn't help knock him out of the game. He should be able to go 7 now.
  13. Very nice, a perfect fit for what this team needed!!
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 10:40 PM) Tekotte optioned to AAA. Move on Tuesday. Good!
  15. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:19 PM) Ohhh my things are s***ty If it makes you feel better, the pitching in the system has been significantly better than the hitting so far this season.
  16. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 10:13 PM) Damn then slim Pickens then, how about Castro? I can't see them calling up a starter to put him in mop-up duty. His ERA is in the 5s in AAA this year. Taylor Thompson has the best numbers for any possible reliever to be called up, and he's in AA.
  17. Axelrod pitched really damn well when you consider how Tampa hit the crap out of the ball against the Sox the last two days. He's been a great #5 starter so far this year.
  18. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:09 PM) LOL! Omogrosso anybody? He's been really bad in the minors this year also.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:09 PM) At least Hawk has the built-in excuse for years to come that the 2013 White Sox were snakebitten from the start. This has all the making of 2007 with so many AAA players on the roster. This team needs to get healthy and fast.
  20. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) One thing we DONT need, is for the pen to start sucking as well. It's already happened over this last week. 4 losses for the bullpen since last Saturday now?
  21. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:07 PM) Meanwhile in Chicago..... LOL! This Heath guy is killing us Not quite sure why he got the call again.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) And y'all wonder why I'm skeptical of the Tigers being this 90+ win juggernaut. Because I think they're a better overall team this year than they were last year with Hunter a great addition to that lineup and having Sanchez for a full year.
  23. Rios has owned Price in his career. If he was going to sit this series, it would have been last night against Moore, whom he's struggled to make contact against in his career.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) A guy who was in single A ball last week is going to carry the Tigers to 93 wins. Yep, he's going to be the main guy responsible for that
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:01 PM) The rainouts have helped a bit I'm sure with that, but worth noting, he's in the lineup every day. The injuries have just decimated any versatility that Ventura could have had with this lineup. As much as we make note of it, you can't expect to put out a lineup like the on yesterday and today against an above average pitcher and think you have a chance to win.
