  1. Axelrod pitched really damn well when you consider how Tampa hit the crap out of the ball against the Sox the last two days. He's been a great #5 starter so far this year.
  2. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:09 PM) LOL! Omogrosso anybody? He's been really bad in the minors this year also.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:09 PM) At least Hawk has the built-in excuse for years to come that the 2013 White Sox were snakebitten from the start. This has all the making of 2007 with so many AAA players on the roster. This team needs to get healthy and fast.
  4. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) One thing we DONT need, is for the pen to start sucking as well. It's already happened over this last week. 4 losses for the bullpen since last Saturday now?
  5. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:07 PM) Meanwhile in Chicago..... LOL! This Heath guy is killing us Not quite sure why he got the call again.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) And y'all wonder why I'm skeptical of the Tigers being this 90+ win juggernaut. Because I think they're a better overall team this year than they were last year with Hunter a great addition to that lineup and having Sanchez for a full year.
  7. Rios has owned Price in his career. If he was going to sit this series, it would have been last night against Moore, whom he's struggled to make contact against in his career.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) A guy who was in single A ball last week is going to carry the Tigers to 93 wins. Yep, he's going to be the main guy responsible for that
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:01 PM) The rainouts have helped a bit I'm sure with that, but worth noting, he's in the lineup every day. The injuries have just decimated any versatility that Ventura could have had with this lineup. As much as we make note of it, you can't expect to put out a lineup like the on yesterday and today against an above average pitcher and think you have a chance to win.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) Where is Detroit getting a bullpen? Well, Valverde is throwing like 2-3 mph fastball than last year. I don't expect him to be great, but he should help align their bullpen so Coke doesn't have to close.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 08:59 PM) Wonder if the fact that Rios hasn't been given any extra offdays this year is catching up with him. I'm sure, thankfully there's a day off tomorrow. Good call balta
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) Det 93-69 KC 88-74 Sox 78-84 Cle 76-86 Min 73-89 Something like that? I don't think KC wins that many...84-78 for them with Tigers winning division by 5 games.
  13. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 08:51 PM) Alejandro just terrible right now. Swings at everything I don't remember him struggling so much with offspeed pitches last season.
  14. Sox have 50 outfielders on the roster and not one of them can make a play on defense it seems this season.
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) Lots to complain about this year, but nothing has been more frustrating than the repeated f*** ups on fundamentals Just a poorly managed team, plain and simple.
  16. Game reminds me a lot of last Sunday's game. This defense is really awful this season.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 08:35 PM) Let Price off the hook today. 3 runs is probably more than most thought this lineup would get. This roster, especially with Keppinger now injured, is so unbalanced.
  18. Also goes to show you how important it is that Dunn's been swinging better of late to provide protection to Konerko.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 07:10 PM) That was a hanging breaking ball of some sort. Awesome announcing by Stone earlier in the game mentioning that exact pitch hurting Price.
  20. Cheap homer by Konerko
  21. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 07:03 PM) Yeah. So you've seen him pitch? Nope, just love to see guys from the south suburbs do well
  22. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 07:01 PM) Oh man, anyone watching the Reds game by chance as well? This Tony Cingrani kid has impeccable command, and throws 96 MPH that looks like 106. He just had bases loaded, and struck out all 3 batters to get out of it by just blowing his fastball past them all. Harper, Desmond, LaRoche, blown away. He had 4 K's in the inning, because Corky Miller couldn't corral a sick breaking ball he threw to strike out Span. Kid has 8 K to 1 BB in 4 IP so far. The BB came because they pitched around Werth to load the bases. His command is Cliff Lee-like. From Lincoln-Way Central
  23. Wow, can't believe Lobaton is doing so much damage this series.
  24. Wise is making extremely weak contact this season.
