  1. It ended up not mattering, but why in the hell did they have Hudson run for Dunn? That run doesn't matter, and if anything, you hope to keep Dunn in the game in case you tie it. Just icing on the cake of another managerial masterpiece.
  2. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:55 AM) so awful if I were a betting man, I'd say we have a clubhouse cancer that f***s this team up mentally when the pressure is on my guess is either AJ or Cooper Konerko?
  3. At least we saw Lillibridge's best game for the White Sox this year.
  4. If the score was 7-4, Konerko would have crushed that.
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:53 AM) Whether it's right or wrong, no one will ever sign a FA contract with you if your reputation is such that you bench former All-Star starters in the last week of the season with no prior indication that you'd do such a thing. This couldn't be more wrong. No one gives a s*** if someone was a "former all-star". It's the same player that basically got benched in Boston due to deteriorating skills.
  6. Konerko clutch yet again...what a worthless few months for him.
  7. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:49 AM) When was the last time Youk hit a ball hard.? It stuns me people still want him back next year
  8. Hell of an AB. If Youk reaches, does Dunn bunt?
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:42 AM) I'm pretty confident that is exactly what is going to happen. Sox will win that final series in Cleveland. Book it. But horrible baseball is gonna continue 4 more games. Aren't you the same person that wants the Sox to win every single game possible, regardless of possible draft pick?
  10. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:28 AM) There really is no reason to complain next year about a lowered payroll. The stadium looks empty and it's worse because it looks like 500 fans are there and the team is in the last week of a division race and are currently tied.
  11. QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:36 AM) Sox pitching has given up 12 walks so far. That's why you play for one run in the 4th inning
  12. The Wise magic....it gone. 1 for his last 19, and he's not hitting anything hard. Thanks for the boost a while back though DW.
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:32 AM) Detroit will be even better next year with a healthy V. Martinez. Too hard to project anything like that, but if they do go after Hamilton like some predict, then...it's not all good
  14. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:30 AM) Their anuses get into a fit every year past the ASB. They press, swing for the fence. K or popup. Then swing harder. K. Then all of a sudden when its the 9th inning. They finally get some focus and put on a threat, then come up short. That in a nutshell is whitesox baseball in an pennant race. There is no reason what so ever that we are in this position. Play medicore baseball hit the ball a bit and we are about to clinch. Hasn't the pitching been significantly worse since the ASB?
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:27 AM) The team is 1. Beat up, worn down and 2. Pressing Don't say they aren't trying or don't care because there are no indications of that. Playing bad =/= not trying, it much more likely means trying too hard. Trying too hard and playing bad is no thing to pat them on the back for, but I think it's silly to think they are just cowering away Who gives a s***, they've collapsed
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:27 AM) Our pitching has absolutely raped us tonight. Sox should be losing 10-2, in all honestly. 11 walks now I think? I bet Cooper is just a peaceful man in his radio interviews these days.
  17. I believe Santiago was the proper decision to start vs an Indians team that can't hit lefties. Problem is he tried to get too cute with his AWFUL offspeed pitches instead of trusting his fastball.
  18. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:23 AM) I like our spirit and sense of fun. We're a team that loves playing baseball right now. You can tell. This team has made it hard to get too upset if they don't make the postseason.
  19. Rottino with a career .260 OPS vs RHP coming into that AB.
  20. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:19 AM) Tampa bay will finish off what Cleveland started, by the 3rd game of that series it'll be a wrap, maybe not mathematically but everyone will know its over I'm predicting it's over come Monday night
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:18 AM) I can't get too mad about stealing bases when the prospect of consecutive hits sounds impossible 1st pitch with 2 outs unsuccessful steal attempt was a symbol of Ozzie's managing
  22. AJ trying to do way too much in that AB. Just a total collapse by this team right now.
  23. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:15 AM) How annoying to watch him do that multiple times per game. He's hurting this team with his awful hitting in the 2nd half. He's the first person I'd suggest they unload if possible. Move Dunn to 1b, Viciedo to DH
