Thanks for posting that ss2k. Question is, what type of impact does this extreme amount of innings/pitches have on his arm next year?

Despite our good season, we have MANY ?'s
QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 03:37 PM) How many teams right now with a 3rd baseman that can hit and play decent defense are saying " We need to trade him right now!" ?. Probably none. Which is why Youk will be on this roster next year. Youk has turned into a 1 tool player, being that he can hit for power. He's limping towards the finish line right now. I love the production he gave us the first few months he came over, but it seems to be in the best interest of the Sox to look at other options this offseason. At most, I'd offer him a 1 year, 5 million dollar deal. If he wants more money/more years (which seems like a given), then you thank him for his contributions and wish him luck.

Despite our good season, we have MANY ?'s
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) Especially when you consider 2013: Who plays 3B? Probably someone that no one has mentioned on this site Do we trade Ramirez or hold onto him waiting for some of our other (outfield) prospects to develop? Ramirez shouldn't be going anywhere, as it's not like he makes a ton of money and it's not like Profar is waiting in the wings to replace him. Is Konerko really slowing down finally, or is it simply the wrist/bone fragment issue bothering him? Clearly injured What will we get out of John Danks? Probably a lot of runs allowed after the Sox score Quintana in sophomore campaign? He'll be fine as a #5 starter Will the real Gordon Beckham please stand up? I'd rather he crouch What will be Santiago's role? Starter hopefully Can Addison Reed, Jesse Crain, Thornton and Jones be counted on? You can really never count on any relievers from one year to the next Which Veal will show up, the journeyman or reincarnation of Neal Cotts 2006? Cotts never had the type of stuff that Veal did to make lefty hitters uncomfortable at the plate. Can Dunn and Rios repeat? If not for last season, people would be saying Dunn was having a bad season. Rios will probably be a little worse next year, but he should be better than he was last season due to the changes to his mechanics. Does Viciedo have a role on this team if DeAza's not going to want to play CF? They'll make De Aza play CF. If he doesn't want to be, then he'll probably be the one dealt and not Viciedo. Is Wise actually a part of the 2013 plans at this point? If it's as a 4th outfielder/reliever, then why not? He's better than JorDanks Where will AJ, Youk, Peavy, Floyd, Crain and Thornton end up to start 2013? White Sox, Cubs, Dodgers, White Sox, White Sox, Red Sox

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 02:20 PM) Thanks Jake. That's not what we were looking for, but I'm sure you gave 120%. Can he just pitch only against the Twins? 4 of his 11 wins this year have been against them. 4.20 ERA for Peavy in the 2nd half, but I blame that just as much on abusing him earlier in the year with regards to too many pitches.

Chicago White Sox @ LAA Angels
So what was Hawk saying during the game that was so negative about the Sox? Oh, please move Beckham to the 2nd spot, as Youk is too easy of an out right now.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 03:26 AM) I think they lose 3/4 against the Rays. If that's the case, then Sox are probably not making the postseason.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 04:20 AM) Yes. If Sox win the division outright. I wouldn't give it to him if we have a one-game playoff vs. Detroit, though. Ventura seems like a lock to get 3rd place in MOY voting no matter what happens the rest of the way

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 04:19 AM) We better somehow win two of three in Anaheim. Even that may not be good enough to not lose ground. I'll take that and deal with being one game up going into the Indians series.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 04:17 AM) Every time we lose someone says "Remember this is the game that lost us the division!" I doubt it... No game will top being up 6-0 vs the Tigers in the 6th inning with Peavy on the mound and losing 10-8 on a fly out by Viciedo that missed being a game-winning homer by 5 feet. Two game swing right there. Hard to imaging any other game that could be considered a worse loss over the course of the year. Hopefully it's a moot point.

Good, solid baseball for 9 innings?
QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 04:15 AM) Every time I watch this crap this year I hear Stormin Norman shouting his 48 minutes of intensity line and it's just like some of those sleepy ass Bulls teams with the Sox., Did anyone notice how on the Rios throw out play McEwing wasn't even paying attention to what was happening? Bad decision by Alex, but for f***s sake where's the help? What is a coach there for? I also could have sworn Guthrie balked on that K to Rios bending his knee twice starting and stopping but nobody said anything about that either. With no one on base, Guthrie can do whatever he wants in the wind-up. I don't blame McEwing for the Rios out at the plate. He is at fault for the Ramirez play though.

Good, solid baseball for 9 innings?
Last weekend in Minnesota on Friday and Sunday? I do agree with your overall sentiment though that the team is playing very sloppy and some dumb decisions are being made by the players/coaches that are having a huge impact on the end result. Plain and simple, the Sox have lost way too many games the last 2 months that they should have found a way to win.

QUOTE (kapzk @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 04:01 AM) How stupid can a manager be in a pennant race, really Ozzie would have already clinched this s*** by now. I can't wait for shack to log on tonight. If he thought last night was bad (which it wasn't), tonight's managing might cause quite the shack rant.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 03:59 AM) Our clutch hitting wasn't that bad. It was our baserunning that was. 1-8 with RISP

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 02:56 AM) Nice 0-2 pitch with him on his toes leaning over the plate. Thanks Oakland. If we lose this division look no further than games like tonight's and last nights. Lexi getting picked off 3rd...what af***ing tool. This is one of the worst losses of the season. Absolutely no reason the game was even close tonight. Terrible clutch hitting (shocker), poor defense, walks killing the pitchers and pathetic managing.

I swear Ventura fears Francoeur more than he does Miguel Cabrera.

Crain would have picked him off if he went over one more time.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 03:40 AM) Think Meyers contract made this decision? Should have brought him in the 6th. No, Myers isn't going to hit the necessary games finished mark.

Yikes, not a good start. Looks like we got "everything up in the zone" Crain tonight.
