  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) Reed sucks. Yes he does. ERA could be over 5 after today.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 03:55 AM) Only 3 hits for the Twins on the night. Never had more than one man on base in any inning
  3. I don't think Jose Lopez has ever homered to the opposite field according to his HR log.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:37 AM) He's been a s***ty reliever for nearly 10 years. And then this happens. His control of that power change-up has been unreal this year.
  5. Viciedo showing great signs of picking up the ball well tonight!
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:29 AM) Dayan has been decent to better than expected. Actually, DeAza's being forced to play a little more shallow in LF because anything hit over his head now would be a homer. BTW, Farmer and DJ said they expected Dunn back in the line-up Sunday, not Saturday. Tomorrow's an early turnaround game, 12 pm. I'd rather keep him out until Monday then with the LHP on the mound
  7. Proud of Ventura for pulling Sale. He would have given him another inning earlier in the year.
  8. Excellent! Sox were just crushing Waldrop tonight.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:18 AM) Can we avoid using Meyers for another day or two? Well, you know Septimo and Omogrosso have to be used
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:17 AM) 5-6 with 2 HR vs. Q. Take that away and he is 3-45 with zero extra-base hits against the Sox. Nothing beats Dmitri Young against the White Sox in 2005. 1 for 42 (.113 OPS)
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:12 AM) It's truly amazing how the Sox have shut down Willingham this year. .903 OPS, 34 HR on the season, only 2 HR with a .541 OPS in 51 AB going into today And that's with him owning Quintana this year. Both homers in the same game off of Q.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:02 AM) The person I was replying to, and who you backed up, wanted him hitting third. I won't be angry if he hits 8, but saying "wise is unacceptable, play Johnson" reminds me of the person who wanted Cutler traded after last night. Oh sorry, don't want him 3rd. I think 8th is perfect.
  13. Good swing by Alexei, another break for the Sox.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:57 AM) He's. Had. 10. At. Bats. I'm not saying start him over Dunn when Dunn returns. Just seems like while he's giving you good ABs, you might as well find a spot for him in the lineup with so many others are struggling.
  15. 2 walks for Tank! Stay back Alexei
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:54 AM) Dan Johnson has actually been outhit by wise the last couple years. Please stop, this level of backup qb syndrome is hard to watch. Hell, johnsons career slugging is only 20 points higher than wise and he had 2 15+ hr seasons half a decade ago. But yet all he does is give the Sox good ABs. Might as well play the hot hand right now, it's not like this lineup is performing so well there aren't ABs for him to steal.
  17. Goodness Rios, best pitch you'll have to hit all year.
  18. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:49 AM) Not the past two innings, fathom. Threw 93 mph fastball to Butera
  19. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:47 AM) He has no confidence in his fastball, which is topping out at 91. 93 mph
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:46 AM) Our hitters are always swinging like a mid belts high level fastball is coming, then it moves and they get confused. But don't worry next time up they figure another fastball is coming. We look at times like little leaguers seeing a curve for the first time. s*** did that just move...... Doesn't help that on the road, you have these shocking stats: Youkilis: 178/269/294 Beckham: 204/257/300
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:44 AM) DJ as third hitter = equally ridiculous Should be Rios, and that way Dunn doesn't have to bat 3rd when he returns.
  22. Sale got away with a really bad pitch to Carson there.
  23. Seems like the Sox hitters keep looking for fastballs against this guy and are letting hangers just float over the plate for easy strikes.
  24. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:28 AM) Lucky is MUCH better than what we've seen from other Sox hitters tonight with RISP. Seems like it's been forever since this team got a single with a man on 3rd base to score them. I know Rios homered with a man on third vs the Tigers, but I believe it's been over a week since the team had a regular hit to score a run in that situation.
