  1. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 02:08 AM) I blame this one on RV. obviously the left hand hitters are killing Mendoza and he leaves Beckham and Viciedo hitting having Hudson and Danks. Also What's wrong with Youk? Lopez sucks! Beckham's been swinging the bat better of late, and he did have a game winning HR against Mendoza lately. Hopefully Viciedo shuts me (and others up), but I have no idea why he got the start tonight against a pitcher that's destroyed him this year.
  2. QUOTE (daggins @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 02:05 AM) Sometimes you look at a team and think man, they must really want to lose to play that badly. Konerko is now 4-24 and no home runs with runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs (13 RBIs in this situation).
  3. Sox right handed hitters seem to be so fooled by Mendoza throwing that offspeed pitch to the outer half. Lefties seem to be all over him tonight.
  4. Awful base running by Wise so far tonight. That was a stupid decision to send him, especially since it appears he got a terrible jump.
  5. Konerko with a horrible, defensive at bat
  6. Anyone with replay able to confirm Wise touched 2nd?
  7. Wise with the leadoff triple! Not sure if he touched second.
  8. Nice pick by PK! Hurry back Youk!
  9. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 01:51 AM) The Ozzie Guillen rule of managing. X player plays x position so the replacement player takes his exact spot. You don't like two DFA'd players batting 2nd and 3rd for the Sox in the last month of a pennant chase?
  10. So why is Jose Lopez batting 2nd, especially against a righty? Thankfully they face a LHP tomorrow so Ventura won't have to think about whether or not to keep playing Viciedo.
  11. ADA swinging the bat very well tonight.
  12. Wow Alexei, wow...awful at bat
  13. Perez, Escobar and Butler have dominated the White Sox this year. Huge stats for all three of them vs the Sox in their career.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 01:35 AM) Is Liriano one of the biggest disappointments in baseball considering his alleged raw talent? (I realize he's had some quality starts with the Sox). No, he has the injury excuse
  15. Wow, just like that, White Sox are losing. Perez keeps killing the Sox on that inside pitch. Sox had a huge chance to break this open in the first.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 12:30 AM) Boy that was a nonsequitir. Mendoza was throwing meat up there prior to the AJ and Viciedo at bats. From my TV eye it looked like he actually made some decent pitches vs. those two. Still sucks, however. Only one run out of that. s***. AJ could not have had two best pitches to hit in that AB
  17. Awful, bad base running cost us a run that inning. I didn't even know how awful Viciedo has been against Mendoza in his career when I stated Johnson should have gotten the start over him.
  18. Ugh, his swing is far too long right now.
  19. Huge chance here for AJ
  20. Thought for sure it was a 5-4-3 DP off the bat
  21. I don't get playing Viciedo over Johnson tonight. Hopefully Dunn is back by Monday

mlb.com came out with their top 100 list, and no White Sox players were on it

  24. I love the daily box scores on here (huge thanks to flavum and others). Also, I like to read the free Baseball America chat recaps that take place every Wednesday and Friday (along with the Hot Sheet).
