  1. Just saw the replay of Flowers' home run. You would have thought someone had hit a homer off of the White Sox and Hawk was announcing. Credit to Ventura for his lineup decisions today.
  2. I don't think I've ever seen a pitcher who throws everything right at the belt as much as Reed does. He's like a pitcher in a video game where they just throw at the same spot every time and only thing that changes is velocity and if it's inside or outside.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 12:11 AM) ND gets another gift on last drive play clock at zero before snap nothing called. Amazing year after year how they benefit on calls. Golson's TD in the first half should have been ruled a fumble/touchback. ND fans are going to be quite conflicted, as must of them despise Rees. ND did lose to Michigan St. on that fake punt when it looked like the clock ran out.
  4. Purdue fans are not going to be happy with the refs today.
  5. 92 mph...jeez
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 10:53 PM) Throw a pitch out Will someone wake up our manager please!
  7. Throw a pitch out
  8. And he's leaving Reed in.
  9. That slider is freaking pathetic. Reed is not a closer, he's hardly even Major League caliber.
  10. 92 mph fastballs right down the plate
  11. I really wish they brought in a lefty so Veal could be used.
  12. Wow, just wow
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:26 PM) Thornton. They going to have him face Butler and Perez as well?
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:23 PM) Myers has an 18 ERA vs. the Royals this year. He has nothing on his pitches of late. This bullpen is so fragile right now.
  15. Wow, huge out at home! Great relay by Alexei.
  16. And just like that, tying run is on deck. PK's fail with the bases loaded looming large.
  17. Myers velocity seems way down from where it was earlier in the year. I saw where he threw 94 mph in a game vs the White Sox earlier this year.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:17 PM) Paulie's popping almost everything up. He's having a hard time hitting anything on the line.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:14 PM) Konerko's 1 for 10 with the bases juiced this year. Jeez, we've seen that weak pop up far too often from him.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) He's had it for a while. I don't think he's thrown it as much this year due to the injury. I remember Crain used to throw a ton of sliders. I think he really changed his approach in his last year with the Twins. There were times when he was untouchable against the Sox by throwing that slider in the dirt.
  21. Wow, great inning for Crain
  22. Since when has Crain thrown this particular type of curve? I like it.
