Will tomorrow finally be the day someone gets fired?

Gotta love the lack of hustle by Rios leading off the 9th. At least the attendance was good.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2013 -> 11:09 PM) Soon enough Danks will probably be a starter. And then probably no longer in the organization's plans after this season. If you start selling off this year, it really doesn't matter who's in the lineup the rest of this season. However, by no means does that mean they're in the plans for next year.

The sum of the batting averages of our 7-8-9 wasn't much higher than Puig's coming into today.

Wow, Reed looks horrible out there. Throwing batting practice to everyone.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 02:22 AM) Just saying the Sox have a chance with 19 games left with Detroit. No, it just means the Sox will go 6-13 and be buried even more. Marcum>>>>>>Verlander, Fister, Scherzer, Sanchez

For those hoping for a high draft slot, every team with a worse record than the Sox is currently winning (besides Mil)

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 03:18 AM) Hawk--please stop What's he saying now? I stopped watching and decided to watch Franklin and Bash instead.

Getting shut out by an 0-9 pitcher would be quite fitting for this offense.

QUOTE (mike89128 @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 01:58 AM) Well what do the Sox do if they unload Dunn and Konerko walks or retires next year? Who you going to trade for a decent 1st baseman? You wind up losing possibly 3 players to get one. You really want Dunn here for 15 million next year? If you trade Dunn and PK retires, then you have a lot more money available to sign someone that is hopefully a much better all-around player than Dunn is.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 01:54 AM) I don't think any of this matters if the Sox are trying to get rid of Dunn Yep, you don't worry about replacements for this season if you unload your high-priced players.

Sox playing some smart baseball once again tonight

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 01:34 AM) Oh, definitely not. Defense has been nothing short of stupendous, for sure. This has to rank up there as one of the most abysmal lineups in MLB right now, hands down. You don't like a DH that has one homer all season?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 02:28 AM) Gillaspies not in it! That's somethig! We can call that punishment! Hopefully he doesn't drop the baby

Haha, nice range by Morel. He continues to play like he's 40 years old. What's next, Zach Stewart is going to get called up?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 27, 2013 -> 02:25 AM) Does it even need said any more? If a run scores on anything but a solo hr, its on the defense. Hawk with a mini rant there about how bad the defense has been. Meanwhile, the same lineup is used every day.

Is it safe to assume there has never been a SS-2B combo that had a 19:1 error:HR ratio?

More terrible defense by the usual suspects this inning. Alexei has to be among the worst defensive SS this season.

Dunn to the Yankees is a dumb suggestion considering how they're looking for right-handed hitters.

Viciedo hitting into a lot of bad luck of late.

I think it's hilarious that Morel is showing up as "unknown" in yahoo's box score

Two Errors for Anderson

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 26, 2013 -> 09:35 PM) You're joking, right? (I'm assuming this is "tongue in cheek" humour). Chris Stewart came up through the Sox system.
