Do u agree Sal Perez is a star in the making, tho?
Absolutely, and Chris Sale is a star already. I feel like there's not enough hype for Sale, IMO.
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 01:12 AM)
Would you trade Chris Sale and Beckham for Sal Perez and Danny Duffy (I realize Duffy is hurt). I think Perez is gonna be special.
Hell no

Pretty pathetic seeing out of all the guys, it is the Dwayne Wises and Alcides Escorbars of the world that blast it out of the park against Peavy
Stop throwing Escobar fastballs, and he won't do as much damage.
KC up 3-1. Peavy getting hit hard. Our pitchers seem to be far too distracted by the base runners. Meanwhile, Flowers continues to call for too many fastball.

I will admit it bothers me that he can't seem to put people away, and he seems to walking more guys than I would like.
He needs to be able to bury that slider in the dirt on occasion. Everything seems to be on the same plane right now.

Has Danks made any good plays defensively since he's been up? He played a huge role in causing the Sox to lose a game to the Dodgers by turning a single into a triple. Last night, it seemed like he wasn't playing deep enough in that situation. He seems more comfortable in CF. The ironic thing is he looks much more competent at the plate than a lot of us thought he would.

Danks looks great on defense to me. Look at the replay of that play, he didn't drop it, he just didn't get there.
He might end up being good on defense, but so far, he's been a disaster in the field.
