  1. Royals doing everything right, Sox doing everything wrong
  2. No way can you pick up Youk's option right now caulfield
  3. Can the Sox pitchers please stop letting Butler hurt them on fastballs? Seems like the scouting report is way off for a few of the KC guys.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 01:08 AM) And now Peavy will be extra pissed. AL Central continues to give him all sorts of trouble. Both Sale and Peavy are giving up a significant more number of hits since the ASB compared to before the ASB.
  5. Just terrible baseball by the Sox.
  6. Youk hitting below .170 over last 30 games. I thin I would rather see Beckham batting 2nd
  7. Tigers facing one of the least effective pitchers in the majors this year in Z. Britton. It's an odd feeling hoping that Flowers is in the lineup tonight.
  8. Unless Seattle pushes up Felix to pitch on his 5th day due to an off day, the Sox won't face him next week. The Tigers are going to miss Weaver again as well next week.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 03:57 AM) Is it just me or does Sale's change up get hit around? It definitely his 3rd best pitch. He didn't seem to have confidence in his slider against righties tonight, and that's the pitch that makes him a star. His numbers since the ASB have been very average though, and he's getting hurt by the long ball. His next start is probably going to be against the Yankees, but I hope they find a way to move him back a game so he can face Seattle.
  10. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:45 AM) chen has an era over 6 his last 3 starts, you know what that means and peavy doesnt do too well against the royals How about our pitchers stop throwing Butler and Escobar fastballs on the inner half?
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:43 AM) 2 runs only just horrid. The top of the order with ADA and Youk is in a huge slump, as they're just not producing much offense. Getting ADA a few days off wouldn't be the worst thing, especially if Wise can continue to hit the ball hard.
  12. Big problem is if they decide to pitch Sale on 5 days rest next week, it means Humber or Santiago would have to face the Yankees.
  13. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 03:40 AM) With the crap that they have put on the bump against us, we should have 8 runs a game against them. Mendoza had much better stuff last game vs the Sox (when they beat KC) than he did tonight. Our hitters never realized he was going to throw sinkers inside and curves on the outer half.
  14. Great speed by Alexei there...hit a bomb Tank
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 03:38 AM) I love it when Hawk announces the pitching matchup and uses Cy Chen. A f***ing pennant race and we are letting garbage teams beat us because we invent a boogie man. KC must be outscoring the White Sox by 20 runs in the 6th and 7th innings this year.
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 03:31 AM) This isn't a knock on Sale, but I wish they used a 6th starter tonight and had Sale and Peavy the other two games. Yeah, you were saying that last Sunday/Monday. Sale's ERA now 4.04 since the ASB, and his BAA is nearly 80 pts higher than it was during the first half of the year.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 03:29 AM) Here comes bad Santiago. THAT'S OUR CLOSER!
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:28 AM) Santiago back in town And still has no offspeed pitch he can throw for a strike. In the minors, they'll chase that pitch.
  19. Iassogna not giving Sox pitchers anything the last two innings.
  20. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:25 AM) Ok, now it's over. Another loss against KC. A gift game in the standings for Detroit. So frustrating. only down 2, still got a shot
  21. At least we have our 3 best hitters up in the 9th.
  22. Just awful at bats after the first two got on.
  23. Jeez Youk...he probably needs a day off, as he's played quite a few games in a row (including games on turf).
  24. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:18 AM) Gonzo says, De Aza got up slowly after that CS attempt. Ugh
