And nearly all of our hitters have decided to play into his hands by dramatically expanding their strike zones so far today.
Same thing they did most of last night. Thankfully Toronto's defense handed us that game.

Dumb ump alert...Grienke ejected in first before recording an out for spiking the baseball.
Umps need common sense.
Ha, the poor scouts who flew there to watch him pitch.

Good Romero showed up too though.
That's because nearly every LHP is a bad match-up for the Sox. The splits for a majority of our hitter are significantly worse against LHP.

Only change ups to Paulie. Guess they know what he has trouble with.
Probably the biggest reason he's hitting almost .80 points better against RHP this year.

2.85 ERA vs. 3.59 ERA
He deserves it, but I have no problem with the awesome chemistry it created within the clubhouse to go with him getting some time off.

Looks like Ventura likes putting pitchers out there to get ovations.
Yep, and he also likes leaving them in for the first batter of an inning in order to play match-ups.
Hell of an outing by Peavy tonight, as he only allowed 2 hits after the Lind homer. His reaction on the 2-2 ball thrown to that last batter was hilarious.
