Excellent AB by Beckham followed by an awful job of running the bases by Beckham.

Listening to Barry Larkin rip on players for taking steroids while sitting at a table with the brother of Brett Boone was awkward

18 errors at this point is way too much for Micah Johnson

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 02:34 AM) I just wonder if Braun's successful appeal made MLB go after this clinic harder, thus outing the other 19 players. Absolutely

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 02:30 AM) It would be highly amusing if Adam Dunn was on the list. Well, that would end the controversy on whether or not PEDs makes you better at baseball

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 01:28 AM) The power is legit. Just need to rein in the strikeouts and the Sox potentially have something to dream on here. One of the things he'll learn is home runs that go 375 feet count the same as ones that go 475 feet

A few years ago, I bet we didn't think we'd see a match-up of Josh Johnson and Tim Lincecum where their combined ERA heading into the game was almost 12

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 02:26 AM) Pretty obvious no Sox hitters are on anything. I'll be honest, as long as Konerko and Sale aren't on the list, it wouldn't bug me that much if someone on Sox got in trouble.

Awesome news about Hawkins

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 11:42 PM) Watch Summer Catch and see if you don't change your opinion. To me, Summer Catch was way more watchable than Trouble with the Curve

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 01:01 AM) I'm okay with JP Crawford. Not sold on Tim Anderson though. Still keeping the fingers crossed someone falls that is too good to pass up as stated in my earlier post. Ball, Stanek and Peterson would be the three that would be dream scenarios given the slot they're picking.

Rumors that MLB will try to get 100 game suspensions for Braun and Arod

Hopefully no one with the Sox is included in the 20 or so players involved.

Former possible #1 pick Matt Purke with 7 strikeouts in 3 innings vs Kan

I can't link them right now, but milb.com has some home run videos from Micah Johnson. Pretty damn impressive!

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 11:12 PM) Wasn't he committed there for 2 years? Not sure about "making a decision too quickly" No, he announced for ND/signed on same day

QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 11:23 PM) Gonzalez vs. Crawford Gonzalez/Anderson/Crawford (Fla) vs Crawford/T. Anderson

As usual, this is one of the best threads of the year on soxtalk. Thanks for the updates guys.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 10:53 PM) Do bad MLB bullpens normally go after other failed MLB relief pitchers? Yes

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 10:43 PM) We've got the roster spots now. Does Coop post here? Can someone ask him? The big issue is that the Cubs are claiming so many people these days, and I'd be surprised if they don't go after Rodriguez especially after Hoyer talked today about wanting guys who throw hard. If he gets to the Sox, I'd be all for giving Rodriguez a shot.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:42 AM) 4 game hit streak for Dunn His swings have actually been better against RHP. It's just so dumb to keep playing him against LHP though.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 05:42 AM) lol@the Konerko hating. Dude is 37 (without PEDs that's like 47 in baseball years). The decline was inevitable. The fact that it's just now happening is kind of remarkable. It's more no one wants to see such a fan favorite struggle. He's my favorite Sox player of all time, and I really wanted him to go out with a great season.

Damn, I really thought Keppinger could hit that out to dead center. 7 straight without a home run.

That was a nice swing by Dunn.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 05:40 AM) How about Dunn pull a Kerry Wood That would be great if he retired after this year.
