  1. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 05:24 AM) Can someone fill me in on the 6th inning? Are we all mad at RV for leaving Gavin out too long? Not at all. Ventura managed fine
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 05:23 AM) I wouldn't mind experimenting with DV at 3B If you do it, you do it for good and live with the growing pain of him defensively over there.
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 17, 2012 -> 05:17 AM) I'd like to see Ohman give up about 4 runs here. Let's get this dude off our team, like, now. He fooled Trumbo there...that was a cheap single. Just think, the Sox probably could have traded Santos for Trumbo.
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 17, 2012 -> 05:15 AM) Mark Gonzalez tweeting that Viciedo could be at 3B this weekend (Dunn in LF). Is this truth? Balta is not going to be happy
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 17, 2012 -> 04:10 AM) Let's have a 8 run 8th. Will they let their LOOGY face our righties? I can't believe Williams is going to finish with such a good stat line.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2012 -> 04:04 AM) And a walk. Just not sure where he could play next year. They're not going to move Rios. The only way would be if Viciedo was moved to 1B/DH and Dunn was traded. Mitchell isn't ready next year for the majors. He's not someone they need to rush, especially with De Aza playing as a better version of him right now.
  7. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 17, 2012 -> 04:47 AM) How long before the Sox call up Septimo and DFA Ohman? They won't DFA Ohman. He's type of guy who will go to the Dodgers in a waiver wire deal, or something of that nature.
  8. BTW, Sox were very much in the mix for Trout in the weeks before the draft, IIRC. Some mock drafts had them taking him, but went with Mitchell instead. It wasn't a terrible decision at the time, regardless of what has happened since.
  9. I love Acta putting Choo into the leadoff spot
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ May 17, 2012 -> 04:54 AM) Brent Morel is one of the if not the worst hitter in baseball. Worst OPS by at least 42 points right now.
  11. Just for fun, I decided to look up who Morel homered against in September last year. Only one of them is a starter in the majors still, but there's a few relievers still around: - Brad Penny - David Huff - Frank Herrmann - Rick Porcello - David Pauley - Tim Collins - Chad Durbin - Everett Teaford
  12. Another rocket for an out. Great hacks tonight against Williams.
  13. QUOTE (Baron @ May 17, 2012 -> 04:48 AM) Were not playing well...but that team is god awful Sucks we don't get to face Volstad. Samardjiza and Dempster have been very tough this year.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2012 -> 04:46 AM) First homer for Wells that wasn't of the solo variety. No action in the White Sox bullpen, lol. But we saved the bullpen yesterday for today's game It's fine to leave Gavin in though, he's in the low 90s. Funny thing is I'm not even mad tonight. I don't care if we lose games this year, but seeing Viciedo come alive is a great thing to see.
  15. Someone explain why Gavin is pitching from the stretch with a man on 3rd? Given his struggles from the stretch in his career, that's just inexcusable.
  16. Will Rios ever homer again? I cannot believe Williams is getting away with these pitches.
  17. Damn, bad luck for AJP. Williams throwing meatballs up to the plate tonight.
  18. This is the absolute perfect pitcher for Dunn to crush.
  19. Nice break...make them pay here 3/4
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 17, 2012 -> 03:26 AM) Now that Tank is hitting, he may have to play in Wrigley one of the games or two. His bat is red hot. Put him at 3b In all honesty, he has to play at least on Sunday against LHP.
  21. Nice offspeed pitches there...that's what you got to keep throwing Pujols.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 17, 2012 -> 03:23 AM) Morel actually really reminds me of Crede when he showed up for good. He was pretty brutal for a while, and credepopsitup was a very popular gamethread saying, then I believe a member name. I agree people forget how bad Crede could look at the plate. It would be one thing for Morel to keep hitting in the .180 range if he could provide a little power like Crede used to. I wonder if the average NL pitcher who hits has a higher OPS than his?
  23. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 17, 2012 -> 03:21 AM) Morel and then the pitcher in the 8-9 spots in National league parks...I can't wait for this. That is if he's still with the team. You never know when Ventura might pull the plug. He's last in the majors in OPS by 42 points
  24. QUOTE (Baron @ May 17, 2012 -> 03:19 AM) Your the one that wants to see this for 2 more months Because the last thing I want is him to go to the minors, be average there, and then be in the plans for next year. I'd rather he try to prove he belongs in the majors this year, and if he continues to be among the worst corners infielders of the past 25 years....then time to go in another direction. I have never once thought he's a MLB caliber player.
