  1. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) Well, right now, the whole lineup is striking out a lot in the first home game I doubt the fans would boo Alexei or De Aza if they strike out 3 times in the first game, etc. With Dunn, it wouldn't shock me if they started to boo him.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) Dunn Ks. From a psychological standpoint, Dunn striking out a lot in the first home series is bad.
  3. How about another homer by AJP with someone on base??
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) It is hard to start a rally with so many automatic outs in this lineup. You flat out cannot have Morel and his .056 batting average and one walk batting in front of your 3/4/5
  5. Didn't know that Scherzer's been so good during his career vs the Sox. 2.30 ERA against them coming into today.
  6. Scherzer was one of the guys I listed that Fukudome should play against and Viciedo should sit against when Fukudome was signed. However, I understand playing your opening day lineup in the first home game.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 05:51 PM) Holmberg is off to a good start for high-A. He'll probably be in AA befoire his 21st birthday. Thanks, Kenny! http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...&pid=571787 He'd be our top prospect by far, it would seem
  8. Look at the lineup the Cards used today for a "Sunday lineup"
  9. How about the suggestion that Robin was just having fun with the lineup yesterday since he knew it would get postponed?
  10. Congrats to Danks for getting a victory early in the year.
  11. Balta, I do miss your "there's one"....with Santos from last year
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:03 PM) It's a 4 run lead. I'd follow the Closer rules for Santiago. Put in Jones and see what he can do here. I'd go with Thornton, as Indians have a ton of lefties coming up.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) Nice work by Crain to keep it right there. Indeed, that could have got ugly fast.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:51 PM) What. The. F*ck. Was that? The defense has been just awful so far this year, even though half the miscues haven't gone as errors.
  15. Can't let Cleveland get tying run to the plate. Thought Thornton should have been starting this inning.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:08 PM) Base hit. 1st and 2nd with two outs.n Robin out to get the ball from Danks. Ohman?
  17. Looks like I missed some fireworks. From what I saw in ST and early this year, AJP has a very short, powerful swing going for him. And yes, it's great to have a leadoff hitter with some power.
  18. QUOTE (K-Rock @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:21 PM) Robbin letting them swing on 3-0. I like it! I've loved that philosophy so far this year.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:19 PM) Dunn with a single to the wall in RF. Choo would have shot him at second if he had tried. Morel to third. Nearly a homer? PK has to stay out of the DP here
  20. Huge two outs by Danks...time for offense to get going again.
