QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 11:42 PM) 22 K's in 51 ABs, thats shades of Borchard awesomeness. It's really amazing someone who swings so weakly can strike out so much.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 11:43 PM) Hawk kissed OG ass most of the time he was here. Not last year

Really confused as to why Morel wasn't bunting there. Can we just play Lillibridge at 3b?

Dalabar gets a ton of swing and misses on that splitter he's throwing.

Wasn't pretty, but that is all for Danks and he can pick up the win.

How great was it seeing a Sox hitter adjust to a pitcher throwing everything on the outer half to them?

Weird announcing there, as they didn't acknowledge Rios getting to 3rd for about 10 seconds.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:53 PM) uggghh i knowww people don't want me defending the sox, but how was that, in any way, adam dunn's fault? Looked like he got a terrible jump and wasn't exactly running hard.

Way to go Rios!

Ugh, just one of those games. Dunn has been caught half-assing it on the bases far too much this year.

There's about a 5-6 mph difference between fastball and change-up.

Wow, not a pretty last two innings.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:33 PM) Pitch F/X doesn't help as much with that, but usually...if a guy has lost 2 mph on his fastball, whatever reason he's down on that, it's going to affect his control too. Start overthrowing things, lose something in the delivery, start relying on different pitches, whatever. Most important thing in my opinion is the lack of difference in velocity between fastball and change-up.

Not one of Beckham's better swings on that 3-2 pitch.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) So far this season, his average fastball is at 89.8, down from 91.6 the last 2 years. Yikes

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:26 PM) LOL at our defense this inning. Lillibridge misread a ball that he normally would catch at night. Beckham should have taken the easy out at first. Danks/Dunn miscommunication. The previous inning ends with a great defensive play by Ichiro. UGLY UGLY UGLY You could sense the momentum change, but we can still get to Millwood. Should get 2 more innings off of him.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) What the hell is this team doing, today? I remember quite a few Sunday games in Seattle where it looked like the team had absolutely no focus

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:20 PM) Glad we invested all that money in Mark Buehrle, OOPS, John Danks. Because Mark actually might have the same average fastball velocity this season. Dead arm period? Danks seems to be short-arming everything. Absolutely no zip to his fastball...hopefully just dead arm like you said.

Holy cow, what a debacle of an inning.
