  1. Wow, overmatched by an 85 mph fastball. I'm surprised fans aren't booing him louder
  2. Beautiful swing by Quentin there. Really stayed closed and hit a vicious line drive.
  3. That pitch Beckham popped up was the same type of pitch he used to line to the right field warning track when he first came up. He is struggling to do that now with his shoulder flying out.
  4. Same bad swings by Beckham. Was late on an 80 mph fastball and then pulls off a slider to pop it up.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) Have you ever seen a fall of this magnitude by a proven player over the course of one offseason in history? I know Wite's faith has to be waning by now. Hopefully the one week benching he'll face with games at NL parks will do him well.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 07:30 PM) Dunn is so bad that when you describe him you're going to automatically sounds hyperbolic without intending to. I can K at his rate for half the price. Ozzie just needs to stop playing him against lefties. Hell, any confience he had after Friday night probably was negatively impacted after he struggled against the lefty yesterday.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 07:27 PM) That's what I recall too...not him hitting fastballs from anyone. He hit homers off of fastballs from Santana and Penny
  8. Has Konerko done anything since he went off the juice on Friday?
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) Have we actually seen him be effective against guys just because they aren't throwing high heat? Ted Lilly and Fister?
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 07:21 PM) Also, I have a feeling Dunn should rake on Livan today. Beckham should get some good swings today
  11. We'll be in great shape against Livan if this umpire keeps up this small strike zone.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 06:44 PM) Peavy looked great out of the pen. If we have to go to a five man rotation eventually, he would be my choice for the pen I disagree, as you want him to build up his arm this season cause you'll have to rely on him to be a starter next year while Jackson will be pitching elsewhere.
  13. I went to a game against Seattle a few weeks ago, and as soon as Dunn got two strikes, people were starting to boo him. He has no one to blame but himself.
  14. I'll be stunned if Delmon plays another game this year.
  15. Crap, on a plane for this game. SS2K can use it as me not being a top 5 post count poster during a win. Hell of a job by Peavy and Bruney.
  16. Jackson probably made himself a lot of money last night. You have to think Washington is a favorite to sign him especially since they get along well with boras
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 05:12 AM) If it were a Red Sox/Yankees game, it would be in the 8th inning
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 06:10 AM) nothing lost nothing gained in the division Danks better go 7 tomorrow. I gotta give Washington credit, this seems to be a strong lineup they're building. Whole lot of power
  19. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 06:07 AM) It should come as no surprise that the fewest walks for someone with 150 games is Ozzie Guillen with 10. Not exactly what you asked for, but hilarious nonetheless. Morel would shatter that
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 06:04 AM) Our top two hitters have a combined OPS of 1.157. Jose Bautista's is 1.140. Any of the stat guys still up? What's the fewest walks in a year for someone with say, 300 at bats?
