  1. That's a really bad loss, as Washington had no business winning this game. This has happened far too often this year. Starting pitching continues to be great though.
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 10:03 PM) What he say? Brought up how someone asked about him and then they gushed about his stats this year. You don't usually see Hawk pull out the "filler" material in the bottom of the 9th.
  3. Lillibridge is starting to strike out again at a frightening rate.
  4. Stat guys: what's the worst LHP or RHP split a hitter has had in MLB history? Is Dunn threatening the record against LHP?
  5. Hell of a job by Sale today. Bullpen should all be fine come Tuesday.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) I'm going to predict we see PH'ers for Teahen and Beckham, but definitely not for Pierre. Only person who could get ph for is Beckham
  7. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) a part of guillen's job is to put players in the best position to be successful...he is not doing that although he will scream from the mountaintops that is exactly what he is doing for Lillibridge and morel. Maggs, can you call up the postgame show just so we can hear Rongey say "you don't ph for someone with Dunn's pedigree?" I love that line. Sale's looked fantastic today, which is always something that warms my heart.
  8. So do we let Beckham bat in the 9th? I'd rather go with Alexei, especially with Storen's strong fastball. And as for Viciedo, it's gotten past the point of "where would he play?" There's so many chances to fit him into the lineup.
  9. I think we can safely say that they new Hyperbole Law has prevented a lot of Dunn rants today.
  10. Well, at least he won't be starting for another week. I can't believe we continue to let him face LHP.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 09:44 PM) I mean, the one problem there is that we pretty much would have no backup OF after that. But yeah, you can't bat Dunn here. Teahen?
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 09:42 PM) Honest question: why do you care about the Cubs so much? And don't tell me your keeping tabs on the Royals. I haven't seen Carpenter pitch, so I wanted to check out if he threw a legit 99 mph.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) I'm kinda looking forward to K number 100 in less than 230 at bats. I've always said if you're going to be bad, at least be brutally bad. With that said, I wouldn't mind a 475 FT bomb to RF. I'll take a walk
  14. Check out comcast if you can. Carpenter just overthrew 1b by about 20 feet.
  15. Setting up to be an interesting bottom of the 8th if Ozzie lets Dunn face a LHP.
  16. Unreal game, even though I didn't think he got that off the bat.
  17. 9 freaking strike outs for Livan? Seems like one of those games that afterwards, the pitcher will say he simply pitched the way the scouting report told him to.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) Well done Sale. Really, the blame goes on nobody but the offense at this point. Humber threw 6 2/3, gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He pitched phenomenally. You have to win when your pitcher has an outing like that. Agreed completely, and it's a shame that he couldn't get any breathing room
  19. Good thing is I'm sure our players have confidence we can comeback after Friday night. Just can't allow more runs.
