7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 04:03 AM) He believes in the talent, and there's nobody available who is better than what they have. KW must be drunk. Or he doesn't really care anymore because he feels like daddy favors the other brother more than him now?

This offense is freaking awful. Half the starting lineup doesn't even hit the ball hard enough to score someone from first on a single because outfielders can play so many of our guys so shallow.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:59 AM) That is a tough one, but its not my money so I say keep Sale. If I was JR, I'd probably say hello Mr. Gardner. Getting rid of Rios and the albatross contract of his is more important than keeping Sale and hoping he becomes a #3 or 4 starter. I'd do that deal in a heartbeat, but there's not a prayer of the Yanks doing it. They don't need Rios at all! They can get someone like Breslow instead to help their bullpen for a much cheaper cost.

Two players on our team looked like they even cared tonight (Danks and Sale). That was as bad of a team effort as there's been all year. But we all know no changes will be made before Friday's game.

Well, AJ cemented his status as one of the worst defensive catchers in baseball tonight. Time to sell, this team has NOTHING go for it this year.

QUOTE (Real @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 02:55 AM) When you lose your starting job to Wilson Betemit, you know you suck. Betemit would be like the 4th best hitter on the White Sox.

A few too many pitches for Sale it seemed. If this was the typical Sox at KC extra inning game, Butler will single up the middle here.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:46 AM) I don't understand it either. What is KW waiting for? Its mindboggling. Hopefully this knee "issue" with Dunn lands him on the DL. It would be just like the Sox to promote Viciedo just before we face some big time sinker ball pitchers against the Indians.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:42 AM) Is Dunn available to pinch strikeout for someone tonight? I said it earlier tonight, but not calling up Viciedo for this series with two lefties on the mound while benching Dunn is mind-boggling. Look at our freaking offensive roster right now? It's pathetic!

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:39 AM) Now we have to put up with Teahen's defense at 3B. That was the perfect chance to use Dunn against a pitcher he's had success against. With Alexei as our DH, there's really no other spot where you could use Dunn. I'm sure Ozzie knows that.

Tons of hard hit outs by the Sox tonight.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
Jeez Teahen...if we wanted a weak ground out to the 2nd baseman, Morel could have done that.

Way to go Sale! f*** it, let Dunn hit for Morel.

Wow, that was close. Throw him a slider instead of a 5th straight fastball.

Should have gone to third

Playing like a team that the manager needs to get fired from. Just a terrible effort by AJP, who definitely seems to have no plans for postseason play this year.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:26 AM) some of these guys just go up there swinging at everything and anything Hideous swing by Beckham. It's not like he was going to hit Crow's fastball, so he should have been sitting on the slider.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
That was a very good swing by Rios there. We better be hit and running here.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
I missed a game, but has AJP done anything since the ASB?

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
Well, Chris Rongey said something like no matter how many games we lose before deadline, he'd rather we just go for it this year and hope for the best and not trade anyone.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
I'm beginning to think Konerko is hurt. He's taken so many of those defensive swings since the ASB

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 02:00 AM) Too bad Kenny couldn't get the trade done for another right handed reliever before this game. Sin, you crack me up
